did we stop recruiting Ray when Parker committed. And therefore did we lose him when Kwe decomitted.

And now that we all see how Monmouth is going, there's a pretty good chance he can play.

We just mess up too much in recruiting - and I'm not forgetting about Otis Livingston.

what kind of offer list did Otis Livingston have ?

so, let me get this straight...you have the one guard you want committed and you keep recruiting some other guy?

You are active on the Paid Football board. I know you hear it from Mods all the time....., player A committed, so Rutgers backed off player B who plays the same position. SOP in recruiting.

You are trying too hard.

Choppin is right.

The staff got Parker. They thought they were solid at that position. There is no need to continue recruiting the other guys. Our staff is working hard. They are just dealing with a hostile media that doesn't properly acknowledge these efforts. A hostile fan base looking to take them down.

Reversing those two things are more essential than a new practice facility. I think our fans need to be fixed first. No recruit wants to come here and listen to the stuff you guys spew!

what bs

That is rich coming from Eddie's best friend and staunchest defender.

Your excuses are comical.
Reminds me of Baghdad Bob, or Leslie Nielson ("Nothing to see here!")

I support the Rutgers basketball program with a positive attitude, the same for all the programs.

I don't go from board to board posting Negative comments.......what's that saying, "Jersey people eat their own".

I don't defend Jordan.....I present a realistic view about the expectations give the state of the program after 25 years of not sniffing the NCAA and a few years from Rice.

So what you're saying is that nobody should discuss anything related to athletics decisions on this message board. I assume you want our teams to succeed, yet you don't seem to care about how that should happen. Everyone supports the teams and want them to succeed. It is not unreasonable to want to see effort even in defeat. The incremental improvement isn't being displayed in this regime. Eddie finally has mostly "his" players.

What you're suggesting is that people just not care about the awfulness that surrounds this program. What you're saying is that nothing should be done. You've even admitted that there isn't any effort being shown. You even said that we don't AND won't get the necessary athletes while we're losing. And yet you won't acknowledge that we've never been THIS bad. You say 5-7 years but don't seem to acknowledge that players only compete for 4 years.

So explain to me this. How do we get the players we need? How do we improve? Where is the bar supposed to be each year? Are we not supposed to want to see even the smallest sign of improvement? All I see is you getting sick of whining. That's understandable, but an acknowledgement of what everyone is observing is absolutely warranted right now. We've seen it with every past coach. The freshman play hard their first year. Effort should carry over, but it doesn't. Why is it that our only high effort players are freshman every year for every coach we've had the past two decades? Is it the coach? Seems likely to me.

.

Says the guy that hates on anyone named Hurley

I am a Rutgers Basketball fan and a fan of the program....not Jordan, not Hurley or anyone else.

The sole purpose of this thread by ruman was to post Negative information about the program.....I have an issue with them. He expected more supporters, but, even a guy like BAC realizes this thread topic is stupid.

I should be a moderator....Anyone know how I can apply ??

How exactly is the fan base going to be fixed? Its like Trump saying he is going to build the wall with Mexico and make them pay for it!

Salnave committed to Monmouth. I believe we could have had him. He probably made a very good choice. He can take over for Robinson when he graduates.

I think this is an example of the current staff being lousy at recruiting. You need to have a good feel if a guy is going to stick. Russ Wood comes on here and said he could never understand the Kwe commitment. So we passed on Ray and Parker goes to Tennessee. So we have no recruits

Of all the issues with this program, the fact that we have zero commits this fall is the most negative stat on Eddie Jordan that you can have. I keep hearing the pleas for patience. You cant build a roster if you cant recruit. He whiffed on recruiting this fall two and half years into the job. That is not acceptable.
