Recruiting Pitch

In its infancy comparatively.
I'm 100% confident your using NIL as in excuse for Greg's terrible recruiting. NIL was a big deal last yr too. The difference from last yr, to this yr, is Fran is gone. They didn't come here because Greg, thats why recruiting bottomed all the way out

He was why we had the highly ranked class last yr. Now that he is gone, and players suddenly have no interest in Rutgers, we blame NIL. Its another excuse - to keep Greg appearing faultless
We need someone who can raise a lot of NIL money. If that's not the current HC we need someone else

The players we throw NIL offers at.. Will they choose our offer, over other NIL offers? I imagine most would still rather be part of a football program, with some life in it.

We can only try. But if NIL is the latest excuse for Schiano then take it away. Why would you keep a coach who is no longer appropriate for the job?

Should've never been giving the position. The unbiased mind -- saw Greg for what he really is. That's why he had no other options.

I disagree but that’s ok.
I believe in today’s recruiting, money and potential NIL for kids with multiple offers and options far outweighs Fran.
Just my opinion

I agree... these are 17, 18, 19 year old kids (not even talking about portal), they're savvy enough to follow the money over a "friendship" with an assistant coach.

Could you point to one poster that has made Schiano out to be faultless ?
I'm constantly amazed by those here who apparently don't see the massive difference between Schiano and every other head football coach at Rutgers since the decision was made to go Big Time. Strangely enough, most non-Rutgers college football fans I know give him way more respect than some posters here who claim to be fans of RU.

We had friggen 13 NFL players on the 2006 team, way before Fran was here.

Ok. That was also over 15 years ago.
It's so weird how everyone is hung up on GS 1.0 and 10-20 years ago (both positive and negative).

OC McNulty had the first 3k, 2k, 1k, 1k team in 2007.
That didn't stop him from being arguably the worst OC in the country in 2018 and 2019.

Simply pointing out GS recruited NFL level talent all over the field on both sides of the ball from 2005 till his departure…it’s not debatable, it’s fact!
That statement has nothing to do with his coaching ability or failures.

Under the same recruiting rules and transfer restraints of that era he would do it again imo.
I understand if you disagree or think the point is irrelevant.

For those of you who love NIL and building via the free agent portal…enjoy
