The infighting on this board is a joke. Flood haters continue to bash everything he did. Why? It does nothing for this program at all and makes you look like a bunch of chumps to be very honest. .

Flood supporters are attacking everything Ash does. Why? This is even worse because Flood is gone and he isn't coming back. How does attacking everything Ash does help build the positive culture he is looking for?

I am a Rutgers supporter. Anyone care to join me? Then STFU about Flood vs Ash.

Just try to tune out the mandrama and remember what Eleanor Roosevelt said:
Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

Ok, so that quote destroys most of beIng an avid sports fan in the Internet age....

I doubt there are any Flood supporters left. That ship sailed and got lost in the Flood.
As far as the Flood haters---it's called DEFLECTION. It is a trait typical to a lot of folks in NJ--problems are always somebody else's fault.

I don't look for fault. I look forward, Keep moving forward. Don't look back. Blue skies are ahead.

U Say "Flood supporters are attacking everything Ash does." do you have any examples
where are the Flood supporters? Yes I was one but Head Coach Chris Ash is the man to support and going back pining over Flood is illogical.
I do not think the disgruntled tone is x-flood lovers but more foolish people think we hired GOD and every kid would flip and come to RU!

I am more concerned about what the Terry Shea supporters are saying about our current recruiting class.
I remain a Terry Shea supporter and if you just ignore his won loss record and his recruiting classes you will find he got a raw deal. Same with Anderson. I shall now continue to cast aspersions on the likes of GS, KF and CA.

Going back to Littlepage tenure every head basketball coach has complained about their predecessor leaving the cupboard bare. You can call it deflection ,passing the buck or scape goating. The bottom line is that Ash is now in charge and he should be evaluated based on recruiting prowess as compared to league competition and the won/loss record.

I don't think there are a lot of Flood supporters complaining about Ash. Anyone who was a Flood supporter recognizes that he isn't coming back.

I think the people complaining about Ash are people who wanted a different coach hired, whether that was Schiano, Cristobal, Golden, or people who thought Rutgers was going to hire Sabin.

(I actually think there are a lot of Schiano supporters who are upset that Schiano wasn't hired back to Rutgers and are also upset that the Schiano/Flood era is over. That means a cultural change in Rutgers football -- no more "chopping" -- and also a access change for those who had personal connections to the Schiano/Flood staff.)

Bingo.

There should be a mandate against mandrama.

Mandrama - lol. If they made that mandate, this board would be three guys talking about London broil, snow flurries and home renovation projects.

Are there really any "Flood supporters" left, though? I see this phantom group referenced a lot, but never actually see anyone say, "Things would be much better if we rehired Flood."

Roll call: If you're a Flood supporter, and, more specifically, think Flood would be navigating the current choppy seas much more proficiently than Ash, please raise your hand.

If you want to highlight some of the good things happening in the program right now, it is unavoidable not to contrast with the old way of doing things. Even if you try to avoid it, at some point you will be forced to reconcile it in your head - because they are mutually exclusive. You cannot support both.

I do agree that most of the Ash bashers are those that wanted a different coach.

.

And then she ran into Hitler, Mussolini , Tojo and Stalin and realized her cute little quote was utter bulls$&"?t.

It seems like the OP is the one that keeps bringing up Flood. His lost love

Dude, you gotta lay off the LoBro bashing: just because you don't have a finely honed sense of taste doesn't give you the right to cast aspersions on that delicacy!

As I suspect you know, I'm one of the original LB advocates. I still believe the only winner in that argument is the one eating a plate of juicy, delicious grilled broil of London.

Hit the nail on the head.

As for personal connections to both. I had them and could reach out to either at any time. I did send a personal congrats and introduction to Coach Ash and he and his staff responded the next day about keeping the past letter winners and their families close to the program. I support the team and who is coaching it.

Yeah baby is typically not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to posting but he hit the nail on the head here.

who seriously thought we hired God? That sounds like something a person who was upset RU didn't hire Golden or someone else would say.

Nearly everybody recognized that there is absolutely no certainty to Ash. This is his first head coaching job. But there isn't any certainty to 95% of the coaches that are hired each year.

Huh?? He missed the nail and hit his thumb here. He is the one that keeps bringing up and defending Flood. He needs to let it go!

No I am telling morons to stop making this board look bad. I support Rutgers 100%. Can you even read? I said stop trashing Ash and stop trashing Flood. You guys all like a bunch of monkeys trying to hump a Football.

My point is it is not Ash vs Flood. It is Ash vs Urban, JH, etc. I would much rather have our classless fans use all of the stupidity trash talking those guys than past RU coaches. But you will never get it so don't worry about it. It's too far above your level of understanding as I have seen over and over. Peace.

You seem to be the only one who is bring up Flood today. Turn the page, please. It's about Coach Ash.

LOL. Sorry if I am too consistent and always pro Rutgers. That makes me a not so smart poster I guess. At least I'm not a hypocrite.

Every day is the same crap. You are likely one of the offenders. Next time I will say it is Ash vs the BIG and not Ash vs ex RU coaches. Is that okay with you? LOL

Except when you trash RU fans for booing Chris Simms upon his return to NJ as a Texas Longhorn. :)

YB, I wouldn't say that you are too paranoid, but those good folks in North Wildwood bemoaning Flood since Jan. 22 ain't talking about Kyle.

Wow going back 15 or more years and incorrect as well. I always said I was fine with the stadium booing SImms. What was not fine is incessant trashing of the kid. Not sure if you were one of them? LOL I know you were and remember arguing. Way to let it go. And by the way, I have been consistent in not trash talking RU players or players who choose to go elsewhere. Consistent. I don't trash RU players, coaches, former players, former coaches. I do call out posters who show a lack of class. I always will. And I always root for RU to win not matter who is coaching.

Superfan01, I thought the other guy above was the only dumb ass who can't understand English in this thread.
