All over the place. 23rd and 6th. Lots of emergency vehicles there and on way. Reports are IED in a trash can or dumpster. Shook buildings on block.

holy shit... no wonder the police were going full out when i was in Union Square a half hour ago

From NYPD Counter Terrorism:

We are responding to an explosion at West 23 / 6 Ave. - updates to follow

Witnesses tell NY1 there was an explosion Saturday evening in Manhattan on 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

Preliminary reports point to the explosion happening inside of a dumpster.

It is unclear if there are any injuries.

Police and fire crews are on the scene investigating.

23rd Street is shut down between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.

Of course not, libs don't report actual news anymore, they are too busy trying to get HilLIARy elected.

Look what happened at Seaside earlier today too.

Praying no injuries.
Wonderful partisan diatribe. But as of 20 seconds ago, FOX news website had nothing about it on their front page. Or do you consider FOX to be "libs" too?

Luckily the scumbags who did this weren't smart enough just to take a quick walk down to the path station which is right there. Could've been a lot worse than a dumpster that looks to have captured most of the explosion inside of it.

Coverage on WLNY NEWS as well.

15 "minor" injuries

they're implementing ICS (Incident Command System) which is system FEMA utilizes for large scale disaster

unconfirmed that there may have been death(s)

large enough for multiple injuries and respnders to be coordinated

Today is a holiday. It's Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. Hmmmm. I wonder if the planted devices (in Seaside and presumably NYC) are meant to be symbolic of that.

I'm really amazed how little coverage it's getting.

Fox has it on too.

Also the seaside park explosion, Brian who posts here, his daughter was there. Luckily no injuries in that one.

Thread on current events board.
