must go even if Flood comes back. I don't get why he is defended here. I see open Indiana receivers all over the field. The excuse making for him has to stop. I don't know if Flood can survive here but its clear this program will never climb anywhere with him as a DC

Flood gone, Rossi gone, many others gone. That's the only way to turn this program around.

The guys are doing the best they can. Two freshman corners, a redshirt freshman safety, going up against a upperclassman qb playing very well, DL not making plays, and not getting pressure, our secondary is bound to get shredded.

its seems like the offense when it wants to can move the ball but this kind of defense will kill Rutgers..and Im not talking about in todays game which of it very well may kill, I am talking about further down the line...long term

Sorry, this goes waaay deeper than Rossi. We have been a deplorable defense since 2013. When you go through a couple of DC's and things don't get better the man at the top has to be blamed.

Sudfeld is 21/24 for 300 yards already!!! Are you shitting me???? Every time we play a spread team, it is like we've never seen it before.

We are winning 27-24 at the half. The guy with the most posts appears to be the biggest RU loser.

LOL the post was about the defense. The defense has given up 24 points so far with another half to go. Bac is spot on here

Are you surprised a senior QB in a HUNH spread offense is putting up points against a backfield composed of all freshman? If not, what would you want Rossi to do? he has blitzed (and got burned badly on that screen that went for a TD) and Cbs have had some decent coverage at times. I think the biggest disappointment has been our DL not finishing the play. There were at least 3 times where they could have gotten a huge sack but instead Sudfield escaped for a big play or throwaway

whether RU wins today or not...Rossi needs to go, I stand by my statement.

but go back to be the boards biggest idiot

Once again, you would be well advised to read the sports section more carefully.

Your tired agenda trumps your understanding of the game. And yet you claim to be a RU fan. SMH.

Lol bac staring this thread. Bac you said you were done with this season after the penn state game . You were going to focus on tailgates and not care about the team . Talk about boy crying wolf bac

Are the DB's blowing assignments or just getting beat? IU receivers have been WIIIIIDE open all game.
It's been a combination. There have been some play the WRs make catches and the DB is draped over them. That is just a senior QB putting the ball exactly where he needs to against tight coverage, nothing you can do there outside of making the tackle as soon as it is caught. There were also a handful of other times where Sudfield evaded a would-be sack and found an open man. And then there were times where WRs were completely wide open.

Like I've already posted twice, Sudfield is a very good SR QB going up against an all freshman backfield. They are going to get yards. The fact we are up at halftime is huge and I believe their defense will tire before ours given how much more punishing our ground game is.

The only thing holding back this team now is Rossi's inexperience as a DC. He needs to go. Two years in a row of record breaking defense is enough. Get a good DC and defensive coaches and this program can take off. See it for what it is he's over his head and is being out schemed again. He had his chance and failed time to go.

and right out of the gate Indiana down the field for a td

Rossi is definitely holding the program back. I don't know if Flood will stay but Rossi is huge weight dragging him down

We are no better than we were under Cohen

How many years of excuses will it take before people realize Rossi isn't the guy?

Just look at TD replay. #22 just dives into line and has absolutely no idea who has or where the football is.....why because he didon't even bother to look at the play at all. It was just a robotic scripted dive into the pile

Issue is the HC. Rossi is just as bad but they need to clean house

Laviano isn't good either but Floods insane fans act like he's some offensive and defensive guru who just doesn't have the players.

He's an offensive line coach and we haven't had a great OL since Davis left.

God he sucks and so do the people who think this guy can coach

Here's an idea just cover 1 of their receivers. Every single one is wide open no I'm wrong they are WIDE OPEN

Sorry but I can't accept that Laviano is better than Rettig every throw is him falling backward. Grow a set and step into the throw
