Sounds about right to me.

But what would you do with the o/u which is set at 140.5?

Are you sure? Vegas got it wrong for just about every Rutgers' B1G game so far this year. 😁 Vegas is quick to flip odds in their favor so as not to lose often.
Vegas's whole job is to get their vig - so in a perfect world if there is $10 million dollars bet, they want $5 million on one team and $5 million on another with a spread that does not move. I know RU has been demolishing teams, you know RU has been demolishing teams and I can guarantee you Vegas knows too. That's their whole job, and they are very good at it (not perfect at it mind you). They are better than 99% of the people out there because it's their business to be. So when I see a spread that's a 'good/bad spread' my first thought is 'what do they know that I don't?'

The better indicator than line is often line movement. That normally means a big bettor does know something.

I wouldn't touch the O/U in this one. I would be surprised if it went far over, but all it takes is one or two garbage time buckets to push it over. And remember how low scoring our home game was against Iowa last season even when they had a more talented lineup and our defense wasn't as good.

Vegas seemingly agrees with my model that is much higher on Iowa than most. I think it's this that is making this line lower than some expect and not disrespect for Rutgers.

5.5 points is still a pretty nice favorite for a Big Ten game.

Ugh oddsportal.com is switching to a new format which is going to break my scraper that was a huge PITA to make.

The two sharps I follow both have RU -5.5 as their best bet of the day. I don't know if they've ever had the same best bet. I also don't know if this is a good or bad sign.

Terrible sign considering the money was on Iowa today
