Corey: you're talented / have a lot to offer. But you'll need to improve your shots (start making them), reduce your turnovers (stop making them) & improve your game (seriously, you should stay next year- & work on your game).

Geo is a frosh / gets a pass (though I like his FT %....maybe he can start popping from around the FT line).

Williams: please find you shot / yourself- this is not you.

Souf: no Souf 4 you (maybe a nice guy- but seems to add nothing to the floor game).

Corey is making me want to pull my hair out.

He gets benched for the final 5 minutes of the game for losing his cool and getting a technical.

Coach benched him a few games ago for "poor practice habits".

He does not/can not score from the perimeter with any consistency.

I feel like he basically has one foot out the door given that in each of the past 2 years he was thinking about declaring for the NBA draft until it was made clear to him he has little to no shot at being drafted.

It seems to me that Corey is a legend in his own mind.

I'd be shocked if he's not playing pro ball in Italy or Turkey next year.

Only two things bother me about Corey:

1. He creates space against his defender and than gives up his space by wecklessly going into the trees without a plan. Pull-up, floater, jump-stop, etc.

2. He gets caught trying to dig too much as the help defender down low and leaves his man for wide open looks.

Corey’s kind of an enigma at this point. He’s capable of being one of the best defenders in the conference but takes too many plays off. He consistently beats his man off the dribble but is a poor decision maker in the lane. 8 games into his Junior season and he still looks like he hasn’t figured out how to put together a complete game yet.

He has no jumpshot worth respecting. So defenders can play a few feet off of him, rendering his good dribbling skills irrelevant. If he had a jumper that made guys get up on him then he could cross people over all day.

Players in Italy and Turkey can shoot.

I agree with what I am reading above.

The saving grace is I have total confidence in coach P bringing in quality players
that fit his "hustle" mode and are scrappers

I love what I am seeing in GEO
