RU - MSU game thread

People who rag on Williams should stop, playing well and has toughness. Just nothing inside.

Laughable at his point. Anyone who thinks ther is improvement and are now overjoyed by 10 point losses instead of 30/are foola

66-43 MSU ,another 3 point blitz which Rutgers can't match.Williams having another good game with 16 points. He could be a valuable player next season.

Rock the RAC, ever think they get tired because their is no bench? And I don't want to see Goode.

Poor Mike trying hard to rebound against 6'10 guy Costello!! Perfect example where losing our bigs hurts and they convert again

I saw 4 players watching the hoop while a player from the perimeter simply knifed through them unbeknownst for a rebound..that has nothing to do with height

They are pummeling us on the boards.

Michigan State came out playing about hard as team can play, flying around, slapping the floor on defense, knocking down threes, please do not tell me you think they are coasting. Give our team and coaches some credit.

this is MSU playing hard..they coasted the last 10 minutes of the first half

Rutgers just had to give Lewis and Foreman and Sanders a break.....Goode was guarding Denzel Valentine, Laurent at center, Grier at PF......all that and boneheads complaining here....the announcers said it very clearly, they are decimated by injuries and out manned.

Goode on Valentine, all you need to know. Then double and guys wide open.

Williams played well. Finally. Not much more to say. Trying to decide if this game Sparks MSU to get on a Final Four Run. More impressive than Iowa. Some of this on Eddie.

I think he is just stating the facts. Also checknthe weather thread regarding rooting. Doesnt matter

Are you enjoying them going on a 20-0 run ? You are a loser. Kick dirt on the team when they are down.
No Rutgers fan is enjoying another embarrassing loss.As I said in another thread Rutgers is completely overmatched in the B1G.The only question is the margin of victory for the opponent. The players and coaching staff clearly get demoralized as these routs become worse by the minute.90-55 MSU still 4 minutes to go.

You are a loser too. You cannot see the facts that we have no front court scoring or rebounding. Check those facts.

dude who are you...you showed up out of the woodwork and I assume you are someone associated with the coaching staff or someone friends with Eddie. Hey I don't attack you and call you delusional do I

listen I knew that they would get blown out this game so really this does not change anything for me, just like the last two games didn't change anything for me....beat Illinois, beat Minnesota, play very competitive in your last 9...show me some evidence and I will give this team and coaching staff credit

The announcers know their stuff....they talked about the game without an agenda. They said Rutgers played hard but they are just overmatched due to injuries.

game threads are always good....you can very easily pick up a few more names for your ignore list. People who don't (CAN'T) discuss basketball so they just come in with one liners and they think they are contributing something to a basketball discussion.

What else can the announcers say? Seems like pretty standard commentary to sound gracious and not try and pile on.

Keep on ignoring the facts and ignoring posters and you will soon be talking to yourself.

They also thought Omari had been here 4 years and Bishop was a junior. Announcers generally know what their PAs put in a packet before the game.

The are paid by the conference. They have an agenda

Without injuries RU would still be overmatched.
Whoever is in charge of acquiring talent for this basketball team is not doing a very good job.

lol...do you want the announcers to really say what they think..they are being gracious to RU as its not in good taste to bash a conference school on air

they are watching and making observations. So, when they see MSU hammering the boards, they use common sense....MAYBE, it has to do with the following:

They saw Goode on Valentine, Laurent at center and Grier at PF. They are not stupid enough to blame the players or coach...that's where the common sense comes in play.

I am not your dude!! I have been watching basketball at Rutgers since I was a senior in high school in 74-75. My freshman year we went to the Final Four and should have gone again in 78-79 and played Magic or Bird. I have been a 30 year season ticket holder and been a financial supporter of this team and others at Rutgers. I am not associated with Eddie or his coaching staff. I am just a loyal frustrated supporter of this program and cannot stand the shit you post or the manner you post it. You disrespect everyone here at Rutgers trying to get us out of the mess we have been in for most of the last 10-20 years worse than any Syracuse , Seton Hall, Uconn or St John's fan could with your posts. I get it you are worn down and have had enough. But don't give us this bullshit you knew we were going to be blown out and Michigan State would hit 17 three pointers. You are disingenuous !! We are severely undermanned that turn close games into 10-15 point leads by failing to rebound and give the other team another and another shot. It makes it look worse than it actually is. It is fixable when we get our team back. I choose to try an stay positive and the only positive you post comes when you seem to have a gun pointed at your head. Who the hell are you other than someone with over 80000 posts most of them worthless. ???

Why didn't Jordan play Etou or Broadziansky? Goode was given a schloarship too, right?
Sorry, I can blame the way the roster was built on the coach.
(Trick question - Answer - Etou transferred/the other went to TCU)

there is ignore button...when you post stuff like you thought this would be a competitive game..you lose credibitlity. I knew RU would get blown out tonight...its a terrible matchup. As I said this game isn't what I am judging this team on...the next 10 games are Eddie's chance to save his job and it goes beyond a few made baskets or a stretch of 5 minutes of solid play.

you know for a minute I start to see your point and then I am like wait a minute......RU has lost 24 straight Big 10 games, they have lost 31 of their last 37 games and haven't beaten a top 250 rpi school in 13 months.....so you assertion that I am sometime negative **** and someone absurd with my thinking with those stats in front us is flat out misguided, stop blaming fans and look at the sheer amount of losing

Eddie needs wins and fast, he recruited the players on this team currently and he is responsible for the loss of Etou and two Johnson and recruiting some questionable talent. Don't try to paint a picture that I am delusion and a negative **** when there is a white elephant in the room

again you are free to put me on ignore

It a sad day around here when posters like Bac are being attacked for being anti-RU or overly negative. Any poster with any history on this board would know what kind of a die hard Bac is and has been.

The bottom line is anyone still paying attention at this point is to be commended as a true die-hard. The real "negatoids" have simply stopped watching.

thank you and listen I don't want to be negative but when a team has lost 31 of 37 games, 24 straight league games and is 0-31 vs rpi top 250 since beating Wisconsin, giving me a lecture on how horrible I am sort of misses the mark.

two points

1. Why did Etou transfer ?

2. When Broadziansky visited Rutgers he asked a simple question. He told the staff that he spends alot of time working on his game....shooting, foul shots, dribbling around cones and finishing in the lane....You know, the normal things that good players do in their free time to develop their own game. You know, most player development is players doing it themselves....long hours in the gym. A LOT of long lonely hours in the gym.

He was told his best option.

1. He could take a bus to College Ave, go the Barn, call next in the pickup game against some 5'9" to 6'0" students. AND, He could work on his shot and dribbling on the sideline between pickup games.

Two days later, he committed to TCU.

As big an RU hoops and college hoops fan as anybody on this board. Anger directed at BAC is really misguided.
