Gravina: Is there some rule or protocol about having to be out at least 3 weeks after an injury like a shoulder separation?

How do these 3 team matches work?

Does each team's 125 guy wrestle the other 2 teams' 125 pound guys?

If so, how do they determine the order?
The 1st 2 are both even.
Then a tired guy is wrestling a fresh guy.

Is that how it works?
Is it fair?

The matches are a couple hours apart. Remember that these guys wrestle tournaments all the time where they wrestle multiple matches each day.

True PhilaPhans the wrestlers have no problem. And RUonBrain both Ok and Virginia also wrestle other teams that day it is not 3 team(Tri Meet) match. For example 9 am RU vs Ok on mat 2 Virginia vs Kent State on mat 3. 1pm RU vs Virginia on mat 2 Ok vs Hofstra on mat 3.

Matt or others, can you provide some insight on the opposing teams' wrestlers - who is ranked, toughest matchups? Thanks.

Oklahoma top wrestlers are at 141-Ranked 15 on Flo, 149-Ranked 13 on Flo, and 174-Ranked 13th on Flo. Oklahoma is always solid but do not think they will win more than 4 against us(and that is best case scenario, I am thinking 7-3 split)

Virginia-125-just became ranked this week 16th on Flo, 133-he was injured at Clarion so not sure if he will wrestle, made the semis last year at 125 and would be favored over Scott D. 165-was ranked but finished 4th at Clarion, should good match with JVB. Virginia is young this season, I am thinking 8-2 split.

I'd be surprised to see gravina wrestling anytime soon. He's better off rehabbing that shoulder, especially considering he has had issues with injuries like this in the past.

I'd imagine Gravina will be good to go this weekend.
He was fine as soon as they popped the shoulder back in. If there was any issue he would have forfeited the 184 match vs Maryland, as the team victory was never in doubt. Of course this is just hopeful thinking on my part ! lol

I'll guess Gravina will wrestle once in Albany, and that Coach G will bring about 15 guys up , giving those who are close in ability with the starters, the opportunity to wrestle. Hope we see Grello get a match, maybe Lipari as well as some others.

It just seems like Gravina will have to live with the shoulder popping in and out.

Doesn't the probability of recurrence increase with each dislocation, though? I guess technically it's a subluxation but Gravina has got to tough as nails to keep wrestling through them. I'd worry about long-term damage, especially if he wrestles two more years.

You could be correct and he might not wrestle this weekend, but Rehab most likely will not help. His shoulder has been popping in and out for 5 years now.
Was he wearing a brace on Saturday? I didn't see the match, but assume that if he's had issues for that long, that he should be wearing one of those braces that helps to hold the joint in place.

Gravina's shoulder popping out doesn't seem to bother him too much and he is tough as nails. My bet is he does not miss any time on the mat unless something is really bad. He didn't seem to have much of a problem finishing the match on Saturday, although the strength and body size of his opponent seemed to limit the typical Gravina style of wrestling a bit.

F

free? I️ have the bgt2go plus does that mean i can get it?

No it is not on the Big Ten plus. Flo is covering this event. Big Ten plus only when at a Big Ten school, but Flo is also streaming all Big Ten Plus events(plus everything else Flo covers)
