Basketball Rutgers Basketball outlasts Penn State in wild, fast-paced affair

Use your common sense. They are going from high school or AAU where they could only play 32 minutes and with half effort to full blown college with defense and intensity and pressure in their face every offensive possession for 40 minutes compared to ACE Baldwinwho is a 5th year senior . Pike has to mange their minutes. Dylan also uses an inhaler. Have to get or steal 2-3 minutes of rest once or twice in the first half and one time in the second half.

You're obviously just trolling
I am not. I do not believe Rutgers basketball emphasizes free throw shooting in practice. They may think they do, but the proof is in the results. We do not sufficiently address free throw shooting in practice.

It is? We are shooting 74% this season even after last night's bad game

Before this year, you had 14 schools in the Big Ten. Here's where we ranked in FT% in the conference ...

2024 - 14th (last)
2023 - 10th
2022 - 13th
2021 - 14th (last)
2020 - 13th
2019 - 14th (last)
2018 - 14th (last)
2017 - 14th (last)

Our free throw shooting is dogshit and has been over almost a decade. It's because it is not emphasized by the coaching staff.

We must be emphasizing it suddenly this year since we are up to 74% versus 60 something.

Bad shooters are generally also bad FT shooters

We have better shooters this year and magically we are much much better

Did anyone notice? On one of the last possessions Harper's foot touched the mid court line while dribble in the front court. It should have been a violation. I mention this because he was flirting with that scenario about 5 times in the game
Harper was trying to kill the the time left on the clock but he was too close to the mid court line dribbling with close defensive pressure. He was hoping to get fouled but in this game making foul shots was a problem .

Listen here ancienthooper, I don't know who you are but your username speaks volumes. Your bball knowledge is ancient and you need to step into the world of basketball as it is today. I won't stand for name calling either, idiot.

we are currently tied for 7th with Maryland

Of the 4 2-0 conference record Big Ten teams.. 2 are good in FT (MiState and Indiana) and 2 are bad (UCLA and Michigan)

Furthermore, Ohio State is bad at FT and beat us.
