GG if he wants to take the next step he needs to dribble drive and develop a step back off the dribble drive. If he does not or will not start putting the ball on the floor & create he will be Palm 2.0. I think the game is playing a little fast for him right now
We look like a JV team. Everyone is bigger, stronger, more experienced, and talented than us. OSU up 15 without breaking a sweat
all the things we used to be great at (rebounding and defense) seem to be gone. All the things were weren't good at... 3 pt d. , 3pt shooting, scoring, foul shots, we're no better. 8 years in. Disappointing.
We are giving up open 3's but they also hit a few contested 3's. Our 3 point defense hasn't been good but 9-15 at 60% is an outlier shooting number clearly
Osu is getting any shot they want. RUTGERS is doing zero on defense to effect the game
Cant chalk this up to them shooting well. They outscored RU 24-12 in last 11 minutes..

They’re a whole different level of prospect than Gavin and more well rounded so thankfully that won’t happen but something needs to change. Pike has to adapt to 21st century basketball; run some creative and imaginative sets, allow your talented scorers to play through mistakes(Gavin). We’re giving up 50 a half regardless it’s not like the defensive focus is working

Even if osu cools off they still are outrebounding rutgers with all their made shots
They are getting clean looks based on faster passing and our inability to close on the shooters. They are creating their offense at the expense of our slower, weaker, shorter roster.
We had plenty of wide open looks - we just don’t make them.
OSU has had a ton of open, good and comfortable looks. The defense has not been good. Shooting is still insanely lights out, but they’re getting very comfortable looks.

Made shots take away Rutgers defensive rebounds so it's the opposite effect
The last few years we’ve always been able to dig deep in these games, find stops and fight our way back in. Let’s see what this team has in the first 5-6 minutes of second half.
The half court defense isn’t that bad. A couple breakdowns. We are getting beat down the court in trnanstion because of ineffective offensive possessions resulting in penetration and kick outs.
He’s regressed big time. So many missed layups and ball’s bouncing off his hands
What I meant is any kind of pulse on the defensive end and its at least a ballgame.
Bottom line Rutgers can't have poor recruiting classes and expect to successfully compete in the B1G Ten.Player development also a big question mark for so many players on the roster.
Yup...guys like Wolf are reaches. Pike goes for too many of them. Hyatt is a 7th man type player...ditto for Derek
