Rutgers beats Ohio State if...

I think a noon game would make Ohio State more disinterested. A night game, even as the visiting team, is somewhat more energized and I think that is likely to carry over to them as well. At noon, the game feels much more 'small time' and could lull them to sleep.

I think the opposite is true. They are in distant land hundreds of miles from home. OSU will most likely get here Friday and have to wait all day Saturday to play on someone else's field. They have all day for anxiety and other bad feelings to build up inside. How you would feel if you had to wait all day in a hotel to play, uh, Rutgers? Plus, look at the big B1G night games we played at home: Penn State (almost won) Michigan (won) Michigan State (could've won).

May the odds ever be in our favor!

LOL I'm skeered. How on earth can the Buckeyes handle a night game?

Yes I know RU isn't supposed to be able to win against a team like OSU and that has been pointed out by more than one RU fan.
But I'll point out "UPSETS HAPPEN" and say Rutgers has a chance to win because of a upset happened on Saturday night at HPSS

How much of a chance doesn't matter, just the chance is good enough for me.
I now return this thread to the we're going to lose made and hope that thought proves wrong.
But admit J.T. starting over Jones moves the slim to none arrow closer to the none when looking at my chance of upset happening chart.

Wise people are realistic, sometimes being realistic can be a downer when rooting for RU to win.
I prefer being unrealistic ( but wise [winking] ) before the game starts and happy to think there is a chance for RU to win, no matter how slight that chance is.
Also willing to share my unrealistic opinion that RU can win ( upsets happen), as the realistic posters share their opinions that RU doesn't stand a chance, but would love to see RU win.

Disagree. Ohio State has played two 8:00 games this year vs. one 12:00 game. They played eight games last year that kicked off at 6:00 or later and five that kicked off at 12:00. Over the past two years they've played 45% of their games at 6:00 or later and 27% of their games at noon. They're probably more comfortable with late starts at this point.
