You would know it by some of the negative posts here but facts are facts and numbers don't lie, so far so good:

Kick Coverage hasn't been that bad, but the Punt Return coverage is another story.

Though the numbers are a little skewed, in terms of total yards gained for each kick return, we're 5th worst in the Big10.

It is interesting to see though the average % of touchbacks for each team though.

RU TB 38%
Michigan TB 64%
Iowa TB 55%
PSU TB 51%
NW TB 44%
OSU TB 10%
WISKY TB 65%
NEB TB 61%
ILL TB 72%
MN TB 42%
MD TB 8%
IN TB 60%
PUR TB 66%
MSU TB 19%

Often our kickoffs are designed to be kicked high and caught about the 1 or 2 yard. Our % touch backs would be higher if our kicker was just instructed to kick everyone out of the end zone.

Assuming the kicker has the option of either kicking it just short of the goal line or a touch back, you have to think the coaching staff has a lot of confidence in the coverage unit.

kickoff coverage much improved..yeah!!

special teams play on punts is pretty horrid. If we aren't going for block (and we don't seem to be)..then why can't we set-up returns...
while Anderson has been lights-out.... our punt-safe blocking has been poor at best
