Rutgers officials said the fundraising for 2014-2015 – a 26.6 increase over the previous year’s total, which also broke records - will help the school with its ambitious plans to continue building and redesigning its three campuses. The money will also be used for scholarships, fellowships and research.

Good to hear.

THe B1G is about more than just athletics. I's also about the overall perception of the program, like being part of the group of "Public Ivies."

Joining the B1G will continue to payoff for RU in many different ways in the years to come.

Biggest gain for Rutgers in joining the Big Ten is the academic relationship with the other Big Ten Schools. My buddy, who was on staff at Iowa for many years, was telling me about this.
