Many of you have probably seen the ads on BTN for Minnesota Golden Gophers Multi-sport student season tickets. As far as I know, Rutgers does not offer these yet. At Minny, students can pay $260 for one student season ticket that covers football, hockey, and basketball. I don't know if these give the students a jump on getting better season tickets after graduation or if it gives them any priority points. Do you like the idea of multi-sport season tickets and do you think Rutgers should start a similar program ? Since we don't have hockey (yet), we would need to go with some combination of football, wrestling, and basketball (guys and/or girls). I'll just throw a dollar figure out there--say $150 for football, wrestling and either basketball team and $175 for football, wrestling, and both basketball teams. Do you think those are prices students would go for ? Should Rutgers set a limit on how many are sold or just sell as many as possible ? Should students who buy these be able to get some priority points for every year they have them ?---https://www.mygophersports.com/students/online/

We don't have much student interest in any sports other then basketball and football.

It is a great idea unlike what RutgersUnion thinks, there are many sport junkies who would jump on the chance to get into all major sports for <$200. For student, money is always the issue! Yes give priority point as these are the alums who will come back for their favorite sport years after graduation, and having a few points is an incentive to keep growing their PP by buying season tickets.
But no limit on students Remember this is their time in college not ours. Let as many as can quiz in the door come better support for the team when we sell every game and people are scalping tickets fpr 100% over face value... then worry about limits. We ain't osu yet!

I was just referring to students. Name one sport other then FB and MBB that gets a strong student showing. When WBB and wrestling get a strong turnout very little of it is students.

Imbazza,
Do you know if Rutgers has ever offered these ?

When I went to school there yes they did have such an offer; show that you were a student and they welcomed you at all Olympic sports

I was at the LSC for a gymnastics meet that was full and seemed to have a good amount of students, FWIW

MBB does not get a strong student showing. For all but the marquee Big 10 (or previously Big East), there are usually less than 200 students, ever since Fred Hill Jr. Replaced Gary Waters.
