For the 20 B1G games, I compared Days Off prior to each game compared to our opponent. Following is the breakout:
- 7 Games - Same amount of days off prior to the game compared to the opponent
- 4 Games - Rutgers has more days off prior to the game compared to the opponent (For 3 out of these 4 games, the difference is 1 additional day)
- 9 Games - Our opponent has more days off prior to the game compared to Rutgers (4 out of these 9 games are road games further adding to the opponents prep and down time advantage).
Iowa was a prime example where they had 2 additional days compared to Rutgers, of which it was a road game for Rutgers. We have 2 games coming up, Northwestern with 2 additional days compared to Rutgers, and the road game with Maryland where Maryland has 2 additional days.
In summary, tough sledding and definitely unbalanced.
