Rutgers ticket allotment not sold out

Just looked at the Rutgers site and there are 8 tickets (the set limit) available in every single section offered by the school.

In 2013, Rutgers sold out its entire ticket allotment on December 13 (link). Today is December 20 and there are clearly plenty of tickets available.

That has ZERO to do with the allotment. Not all seats in every section were given to Rutgers (or Miami). TM/Yankees keep some seats for sale ON Ticketmaster only.

On the other hand 3 more sections in the 300's, on the RU side (3B) of the stadium, just opened up. This is a FACT (as opposed to your ASSumption).

The long range weather forecast is very favorable so perhaps people will decide at the last minute to attend. I remain optimistic for a decent crowd.
