Rutgers vs Minnesota / Game Thread

That 3 would have been sweet ... Oh well ... They played like shit, but played hard and kept it close.

I actually thought you saw just about the best of us. Staying in it with a bubble NCAA team, chance to win if you shoot FT even remotely decently.

I have a hard time buying into the concept that this team is fun to watch game after game. Yeah they compete and play hard but the FT situation alone is driving me nuts. This clearly strikes me as an area where it is reasonable to expect some level of improvement as the year progresses.

Other team was 3/16 on three pointers that helped keep it close as well

Deserved to be boo'd FT"s are,a FUNDAMENTAL. And they SUCK at a FUNDAMENTAL
Any fan booing their own team at a home game is a joke of a fan. Had season tickets for 30 years and feel like you have the right to boo? Good..Sell your seats, we don't need you because you're dead weight.

How do you possibly achieve 10-22 from the free throw line. We have to be close to setting a record for futility from the charity stripe. I've never in my entire life seen a team so utterly incompetent from the free throw line.

It's mental at this point. Once it gets in your head you're in trouble, and it got there.

Tall, fast, athletic guards kill us. Minnesota has them. We need to recruit tall guards.
Need for more talented players at every position.I was very impressed with Minnesota ability to get to the basket for dunks and layups.Rutgers defense allowed far too many second and third shots which usually resulted in a Minnesota basket.
