Tough match up tonight down in Blacksburg.
125- Does Peterson go? Hopefully as he beat Ventresca last season. Peterson dec 3-0
133-Shawver vs McGonagle-should be close match(McGonagle wrestled in the All-star match last year). Shawver dec 6-0
141 Olivieri vs Latona think Latona has a little too much offense and gets dec 6-3
149-Clark vs. Henson-think Clark goes against the National champ. Clark needs to hold this to a dec 6-6
157- Harer vs Hipolito-Va Tech very high on Hipolito, looking for a bounce back match from Harer....my gut tells me Hipolito may be to good on his feet....but I am picking Harer via dec. 9-6 RU
165-Barbosa vs Mac Church-toss up RU needs to win. Church wrestled 41 and 49 during his redshirt last year. Can Barbosa win another big match? Gave Harer the toss up, think Church may be to stingy on defense and he wins a close one 9-9
174-Turley vs Wolak-Turley first dual match in his home state against the Columbia AA transfer. Wolak dec 12-9 Hokies
184-Soldano/Walsh vs Stewart- do not think either one can beat Stewart...I would try for the homerun in Soldano 15-9
197-Poz vs Smith-Poz gets two takedowns and wins 8-3... 15-12
Hwt- Slav vs Mullen-I think Mullen keeps climbing the rankings since he is not playing football. Mullen dec 18-12

The line is VA tech -10.5. I think VA tech wins the dual and probably wins 7 matches . If Dean wrestles I think VA tech wins 6. I like him to rebound here if he goes

Where can we find wrestling lines? I remember I was able to bet ncaa wrestling at a sportsbook, once, and never saw lines again…

Rutgers lists 18 potential guys, but isn't the travel limit 15? The only definites are at 133, 141, and 157.

Then for the Black Knight Invitational the list (noted as subject to change) they have has 5 of the 6 guys listed also listed as going to Blacksburg. Admittedly the BKI is scheduled for Sunday but it seems like a whole of driving for some guys potentially this weekend.

Hope ur right on Dean but when he beat Ventresca, Eddie was on a weird losing streak then inj out for the rest of season.. seems like roles have reversed this season for the two.

And not sure where u found the wrestling line but would prolly pile money on -10.5 if it was available in sportsbooks. If college wrestling was able to be bet on like college football/bball I bet it would become more popular.

FYI-the team had a charter flight into Blacksburg. So only need to drive a couple hours from NB to West Point.
 
Unbelievable NJ sucks it's the only state that doesn't allow you to bet with bet online. And Circa is only allowed in NV CO IL IA KY

I was on the run and didn't have time, but here goes...

KidDagger said he's going with his head and not his heart this time. I'm going to break tradition and insert a combination of heart and head. Head applies more to those that we've seen more from, the heart will go with some new guys.

125 - VT Peterson should go after being read the riot act. He needs to redeem himself, but... 0-3
133 - RU Shawver with some nervousness. Hoping the loss of Rivera hasn't hindered his progress. 3-3
141 - VT 3-6
149- VT No hope 3-10
157- RU Heart is talking 6-10
165- RU That heart again 9-10
174- VT Turley better start his march to a NC soon 9-13
184- VT The heart is telling me Soldan will pull a big move again, but... 9-16
* Soldano should be given the nod and must redeem himself. VT is a higher ranked opponent and Walsh hasn't shown he could do better
197- RU Not an easy one. We're all hoping Poz doesn't lay any eggs this season 12-16
HWT - RU I wish I was more confident. 15-16

I think the best-case scenario for Rutgers is a 5/5, with bonus points making the difference. However, I will not be surprised to see a 3/7 loss. Expect the unexpected.

If you’re betting in NJ, you can’t legally bet on any NCAA events that feature a NJ school or take place in the state of NJ regardless of the book

So I had it 18-12 VT and you post that my prediction is "Very" optimistic.....and your fearless prediction is 16-15 VT...but than you have to have a qualifier that it could be a 7-3 split in matches...So really you cannot be wrong. Way to go out on a limb

Just an FYI for the people who are over exaggerating the impact of Rivera... many of the kids on the team didn’t really like him. Good wrestler, probably will be a good coach, but not the best relationship with the rest of the team.

Overall losing him stinks but let’s not pretend he’s the sole reason Shawver got to where he is.

The idea is that they don’t want college kids being bought. One big impact is if prudential center ever gets NCAA tournament games, none of them can be bet on locally. Same thing if Rutgers ever makes a big ten run in football or hoops.

Always vague predictions or plays both sides. Never brings up the times he’s wrong. Will always bring up vague comments about how “Rutgers will have a WTF moment.” Like no kidding they’re a middle ranked college team.

Hmmm wonder what’s the logic going Cetta over Clark against #1 Henson.. Clark has better defense and better chances of limiting the bonus points I would have thought…
 
Only real surprise for me is Cetta. Figured Peterson wouldnt go and Goodale said Walsh was going to get his shot so here is one of them. On paper this looks like a romp by VT.

Hope we see Mcgonagle at 133 and not the back up . 133 and HWT I'm looking forward to. 141 157 165 197 will be good exciting matches
