Should be an awesome match. Meanwhile this match going on before Billy's is great. Both guys just refusing to lose.

I really like our chances in both blood rounds!! I also called Ashnault to finish as NCAA champ and predicted 3 AA!! Lets see if I'm a jinx or end up being a wizard!

HWT: BOOM! No. 12 Billy Smith wins by fall in 1:39 and needs one more win for All-America status!

how awesome would that be for Smith...I just clapped my hands together so hard they're still hurting!

My upstairs neighbors (2 guys who I have yet to hear get excited about a sporting event) must think I'm NUTS, I was going crazy as Billy was going for the pin, lol!

I finally figured out how to use Trackwrestling and the Watch ESPN app LOL!

If I'm reading it correctly, RU is in 13th place in the team standings, just behind Oklahoma and ahead of Lehigh. Not bad company considering where we were 10 years ago. Does anyone know what our highest previous finish was at the NCAA's? I have to think we have a shot at it.

Nice session for AP and Billy to stay a live. Surprised that Lewis went down the way he did. And then of course there is Ash who seems to be peaking and will give Heil all he can handle this evening

One thing u learn to expect at NCAA's is never expect anything... Seeds don't really mean shit... especially in the wrestlebacks...

Agree wholeheartedly if you don't go out there wrestling like it's the last time you're ever gonna do so - ala Smith the last 4 matches - you're gonna lose no matter who is on that mat with you.

Recap: Ashnault advances to semis, Perrotti, Smith fight for AA status tonight.

“We’ve got three guys still in the thick of it. We want to keep climbing the ladder,” said head coach Scott Goodale. “It’s important – we’ve got two seniors with two really big matches. It comes down to their senior year and this is kind of what you want. They put themselves in position because they wrestled good this morning. And of course Ashnault, great job, just really, really focused. But we know there’s one goal for him and that’s the approach. It’s about tonight and the first period tonight.”

If all 3 guys can get the "W" tonight, man, that would just be HUGE for this program! I have no clue how many points those 3 would get us, however, perception/attitude/recruiting-wise, IMHO, just huge!

8 - 11:30 p.m.
Fourth Session- Six Mat Configuration, *Semifinals on inside two mats (one weight at a time) and Wrestle-back Fourth Round on outside four mats.

I've been a Men's Basketball season ticket holder for more than 25 years, and for the past two days I haven't even thought about the coaching search! Have we hired someone yet?
