That article was tough to read but it is what it is... Rutgers is just really awfully.

We are 0-22 against top 275 this late in the season. The worst thing, next year will not get any better. Only one recruit had a major offer from a peer school. At best we win two three league games. Hobbs cannot afford not to make a change.

Hobbs can afford to not make a change if the donations for the practice facility aren't coming in fast enough so that a new head coach would have something to sell.Inertia favors the status quo which means Jordan probably will get another year.

When you're a bad team, non-local media will typically ignore you. When you're historically, monumentally bad, sometimes someone on the outside takes notice. And here we have an in-depth analysis of our current state of affairs by a disinterested third party...

Did anyone read the article? It's painful, yes, but summarizes (from an outside perspective) all of the current problems with the team including the lackluster incoming recruiting class. It aligns almost perfectly with all of the things said by those who want Eddie to be let go at the end of the year.

This is a sane, completely disinterested outsider's perspective on where we currently are. For this clinging to hope, it is sobering.
