My opinion:He will get into 2024 . Then maybe nunzio will finish the season as interim HC
Nunzio probably will be gone after this season along with most of the staff on the offensive side.

No, your assumption that's the only reason was wrong but you're right it was both. Correct. So by wrong, you mean partly correct.
We're adding USC and UCLA and only beat Indy. Do people think in a 9 game schedule we're not going to still play at least at least 3 - 4 of these monster teams each year?M
easier, as in losing by 20 instead of 30 more often ?
still doesn't discount the point. that is something that escapes youMeanwhile the "character" coach Jeremy Pritt they hired instead was fired for cause for reported recruiting violations.
"UT agreed generally that rules were broken and that almost $60,000 of cash or gifts were provided to players and their families by Pruitt, his wife and numerous coaches, recruiting staff and at least one booster."
You can't make this stuff up!
No. A rotating schedule like the zipper ride at the fair.M
easier, as in losing by 20 instead of 30 more often ?
Well for one we didn't write "Schiano covered up Child Rape at Penn State" on a rock on campus just to get rid of him.lol, triggered karen I see
tell me where I'm wrong when you get your emotions in check like an adult
Nope. Not everyone. I thought it was low-class but understood why the fanbase didn't want him. I also spoke out strongly against hiring him.and to think everyone was blasting TN fanbase
Not understanding this.Low class tasteless comment! Not surprised coming from a poster like you!
Some TN fans attacked his character due to his affiliation with Paterno and potential knowledge of the Sandusky situation. But most TN fans appeared feel GS hadn't distinguished himself as a coach, which was an entirely fair and reasonable position to take. You’re wrong because they were attacking Greg’s character, not his coaching ability.
As an aside, anyone using the phrase “lol, triggered Karen” probably spends too much time involved in online pissing matches.
Nor did 99.9% of TN fans.Well for one we didn't write "Schiano covered up Child Rape at Penn State" on a rock on campus just to get rid of him.
I don't know about that, they spelled all the words right. There had to be more than .1% of them there to pool their brain power to achieve that feat.Nor did 99.9% of TN fans.
The way some opposed hiring him was more than just coaching ability as reason. Not understanding this.
The TN fanbase and boosters didn't want GS. A ton of folks here attacked the TN fanbase for that opinion.
I don't see either side's position as being either low-class or tasteless at all. It's merely a preference for or against a coach.
Even those "offensive minded" coaches would struggle to get out of the bottom 10 FBS offenses with multiple shutouts a season. You'd have to pay an average QB at least a million in NIL deals to convince them to come to RU. 2+ mill for higher tier talent. Who's paying?Watch what he does in the off season. He needs to hit the portal very hard for QB and more offensive talent. He’s not getting carte Blanche to rebuild here in 7-8 years. This year was a step back. Next year is huge for program and Schiano. There are younger, more offensive minded coaches who would be interested

I don't think it's classless and it's warranted. People invest a lot of time, money and resources into their alma maters and want the best for them. Greg didn't even do well as co DC for OSU so non RU people were not glamored by his mediocre record hereNope. Not everyone. I thought it was low-class but understood why the fanbase didn't want him. Back then, I was being accused of being a GS hater (which was untrue). Now I'm being accused of being a GS worshiper and apologist (which is also untrue).
All you easily polarized folks need to make up your bipolar minds. 🤣
personally I think they are all tainted by thatWell for one we didn't write "Schiano covered up Child Rape at Penn State" on a rock on campus just to get rid of him.
which is viable when looking at a candidate with ties to a program and parties that covered up heinous crimes. Hell, you got people running 10-20yrs back on comments made and have them witch hunted for it. I'm not surprised by TN doing that allThe way some opposed hiring him was more than just coaching ability as reason.
That needs to be included when talking about Tennessee reneging on hiring Schiano
Al;so some Tennessee legislators expressed o[pinions that were not about coaching chops but over Greg's PSU connection

Our Tennessee standards mean something, and a Greg Schiano hire would be anathema to all that our University and our community stand for. I sincerely hope that these rumors are not true, because even serious consideration would be unacceptable.

We expect the highest standards for our public institutions. The special few chosen to lead within those institutions should have a demonstrated history of integrity and character. I hope today’s rumors are not true, because protecting children is more important than anything.

Every coach gets a country club membership. Heck, Lou Holtz snagged an Augusta National membership when he took the South Carolina job.
Always said his skill set seems more suited for administration. Wouldn’t be shocked if he got into politics at some point in NJ.personally I think they are all tainted by that
that said, I don't care about the rock or whatever else someone writes or says in this manner. Sticks and stones and all that is a lost concept to feelz.....
Greg sucks, he sucked 1st go round but it was masked by the ineptitude of the competition and league we were in. He made so many blunders coaching it's inexplicable to ponder.
What he does well is develop certain positions and he manages the program. He would make a great AD imho
Has a membership at Fiddlers. Which is known more for being a corporate club.I have no problem with the CC membership. Just don’t say it’s for fund raising. That’s a joke.
He also has to get into a club. Has he been accepted to one of the big ones there?
I’m surprised they didn’t put costs in the contract. Initiation fees can vary wildly.
Sounds to me like the legislators were doing what politicians do, pandering to the popular sentiment in their state and saying, correctly as it happens, that while they are just unproven rumors, they didn't want to risk that the rumors might somehow be proven correct. I don't blame them. The way some opposed hiring him was more than just coaching ability as reason.

Writing the crap on the rock was low-class by whomever did it. Unarguably. It's classier to go with innocent until proven guilty and there's no proof to be had.I don't think it's classless and it's warranted. and who cares what board member think, just look how long it took for people to realize Ash was a mistake
Promotion/relegation between two divisions would be an interesting system. Is the B1G going Winners and Losers Divisions?
All the elite clubs out here have multi year waiting lists. No one jumps the line. He was previously a member at fiddlers so I’m sure that was a done deal.I’m surprised they didn’t put costs in the contract. Initiation fees can vary wildly and be costly.
Fiddlers not that much. Depending on level 15-25k I’ve heard. What’s the initiation at a place like that?
I fail to see the attraction of sitting around with a bunch of haughty muckity mucks to give myself the feeling that I have arrived. What is the attraction? Considering work, family obligations, lifting, mountain biking, and volunteering at our local fire department, don't know where I would fit a country club into my life and what value it would add. And I would be hard pressed to give up any one of those activities to make the time. Not hating, just wondering.I wouldn’t be shocked if it was much higher. Elite clubs in LA are $250-$400. I’ve heard clubs back east are even more for top shelf.
Golf must be popular. Waiting lists are long for good clubs here too. That’s just to try to get in. My club takes 10-12 members a year.
Well you have to love to play golf. If you have a club that fits your personality you want to hang there. We are building a new clubhouse and will have a gym in the men’s locker room so I will have another place to work out. .I fail to see the attraction of sitting around with a bunch of haughty muckity mucks to give myself the feeling that I have arrived. Thanks for that. It's not for me then. I hate golf-maybe hate is the wrong word--I just don't have the desire or time to put into it, and it is too slow-moving for me. While not anti-social, I prefer the solitude of lifting and mountain bike riding alone over a group activity like golf. I see the value to some in the camaraderie.Well you have to love to play golf. My club is super fun. Great membership with a lot of interesting people. Titans of industry, well known actors, professional athletes, etc. it’s fun. As to business, it’s frowned upon, but it happens. Organically just being around people. A lot of deals have happened because of the club.
Starts with golf though. Some clubs have a healthy social membership but ours doesn’t. Some people don’t play as much and some are older and spend more time in the card room but they all played golf at some point.
All depends on what you are into and finding the right one. Or two or three.
Don’t kid yourself. Those people you call haughty mucking mucks can be fun as hell.
Class would be paying for your own and your families own clothes. Class would be not nickle and diming the taxpayer for stupid shitWriting the crap on the rock was low-class by whomever did it. Unarguably. It's classier to go with innocent until proven guilty and there's no proof to be had.
There are plenty of 250-500 clubs. But even Baltusrol, Plainfield, Somerset(the elites) near Rutgers are more about the exclusivity than the price tag. Not saying they are cheap but they are more the legacy type club, third fourth generation type places. Dont need to raise prices to keep people out because you’re not getting in anyway. HahahahahI wouldn’t be shocked if it was much higher. Elite clubs in LA are $250-$400. I’ve heard clubs back east are even more for top shelf.

I would argue that true class would be paying for your family's clothes while also donating clothes and funding to help clothe those who cannot afford to purchase them.Class would be paying for your own and your families own clothes. Class would be not nickle and diming the taxpayer for stupid shit
Nobody gets 7-8 years. Thank god we didn’t can him after 2003 or even 2004. But this time around the leash is much shorter as all coaches are overpaid.Watch what he does in the off season. Yeah, I just don’t see this happening for the full eight if it doesn’t get better.Nobody gets 7-8 years. Thank god we didn’t can him after 2003 or even 2004. But this time around the leash is much shorter as all coaches are overpaid.
Agreed, he gets 2 more years. If he doesn't get it done by then, even he has to know it's time to move on.Yeah, I just don’t see this happening for the full eight if it doesn’t get better.
