Schiano I feel made one mistake.

Despite the troll predictions the RAC was apps 90-95% RED and so I don’t think the 30 players parents sitting behind the SHU bench and the 1 kid in the student section are going to be the next season ticket holders to RU football

Geez, can’t you find something else to nitpick after the best Rutgers sports day in, oh I don’t know, ten years?

And, yes, there’s a big difference between Pikiell and Schiano. Pikiell sucks up to an athletic director who loves basketball. Schiano has to work for an AD who doesn’t have a clue about the role of football in every other Big 10 university.

not nitpicking. The guy spoke at halftime of men’s basketball game and didn’t say a word about the men’s basketball team. A bit odd for a guy who says the entire state and fan base needs to pitch in to put Rutgers on the map but can’t seem to support the current Rutgers team playing. As I stated earlier it would have been a nice touch if he could have mention the men’s basketball team...

Pikiell sucks up to everyone. You could be the ball boy or president of the USA. That is why everyone loves him. You may not like his substitution patterns or offense at times but there is not one person who has ever said a bad thing about pikiell. Pikiell ALWAYS says the right thing.

Schiano spoke well and was inspired but all he spoke about was the football team. I think he should of at least said the basketball team was playing well and that success for all of our teams should help our entire athletic program. This was a basketball game and our kids were playing outstanding and playing their hearts out and he never even mentioned the team or any of our other athletic teams. I think that was wrong. I sure hope things aren't always all about football going forward as that would bother me.
Agree. Should have given props to MBB.

You have no idea what Pikiell would do. I do know how he had Hobbs’ back when the Schiano deal fell through. And, gee, he never mentioned “football”. Go figure, huh?

“Pat Hobbs is, by far, in 26 years of doing this job I’ve worked for eight, nine, 10 athletic directors, and he’s by far the best I’ve ever worked with. He has done so many things in my three years here for Rutgers.

"It’s a very difficult job any time you’re an athletic director. There are a lot of agendas. And he has been for the student-athletes, he has been for the coaches, my staff, the players in my program. He’s built new buildings, raised a hundred million dollars. I think what people forget about is all the great things, and we’re so into the negative. This guy’s great, and he’s a great person. And this stuff needs to stop.

"He’s done a great job and he’s going to go down as one of the best athletic directors Rutgers has ever had. And I hope you print that and quote me on that and understand the job that he has done in the last four years.

"There hadn’t been a new building built here since 1977. You just got into the best league in the country. Some teams in this league have been in this league for 125 years. We just got into this league five years ago.”

I am not sure if this post was in support of pikiell or not. This seem like a very nice thing to say and exactly what I would want out of a coach.

Easier said the day after than done.

Although Greg is great at it, public speaking, especially with a time limit is tough

He looked up at the scoreboard in the first half and thought he was at a football game. $$$$
