I know there are 2 threads on the Maryland OSU game. But there are other games of interest as well:

Maryland vs OSU - now 63-25, 14 min left

Alabama 38, UNC 28 (was 31-18), 2 min left 1st half

Albany 63 Columbia 46, 11 min left

Wagner 28, Coppin St 21 at the half

Monmouth 27, Lehigh 39 at the half

Just for me, Florida 37, UVA 30 (my best friend is a UVA fan).

Seton Hall are putrid. It's barely even basketball.

Allowing a god awful NJIT squad to stick around

Kenpom says they are #320 in offense and #17 in defense.

They are us from last season except somehow worse on both ends.

Don’t disagree, but I’m sure other big ten schools felt and some still feel about us.
I didn't like it when we joined.....and I still don't.

Players should be paid because they are pawns, playing in games where they can get the most revenue for schools.

If this is really college athletics all games except for a few extras should be a bus ride away.

I hear ya. I also yearn for the 2-handed set shot and guys smoking on the bus.

We’ve gotten too far away from the true meaning of university athletics. We should be known as Rutgers College, taking on the likes of Rutgers-Newark, Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Livingston, and the Douglas College All-Stars.

Campus bus routes only, except for the occasional scrum with Princeton, FDU, Rider, and Monmouth.

Just wonder how many bids the NCAA will give to the B1G. And not a complete round robin or same schedule.

Yes, I know they say conference affiliation is not a factor but still…

SEC goes 14-2 in the challenge with the ACC, 11 by double digits and 5 by 20 or more

Fun fact: The Metro Conference was the first conference to study the viability of a "super conference".

In 1990, Raycom Sports was commissioned to conduct a study on a conference that would have included members of the Metro, Atlantic 10, and Big East conferences. Penn State was also included in an early plan prior to them accepting membership to the Big Ten in December of 1989.

The proposed conference would have consisted of the following schools:

  • Boston College
  • Cincinnati
  • Pitt
  • Rutgers
  • Syracuse
  • Temple
  • Virginia Tech
  • West Virginia
  • East Carolina
  • Louisville
  • Memphis
  • South Carolina
  • Southern Miss
  • Tulane
  • Florida State
  • Miami

Good for sports and geography, but some pretty dubious academic company for RU!

I get why but why...has Penn State really done anything this year...they have feasted on some cupcakes and lost to the only real team Clemson they played, best win is an awful Va Tech team

meanwhile I see Purdue has games lined up with Texas A&M and Auburn later this month, who said you cant schedule multiple big time games.

If I’m not mistaken, that was the proposed “Eastern Seaboard” Conference.
