Scores of Interest

Shocked by that PSU score.
Don’t know what to think of the B1G
Purdue is not looking like a deep team from the box scores I've seen. With Smith currently at 3 FGM, 3 turnovers, and 3 fouls, they just don't have enough players at a high level of offense right now.

They obviously play better at home but they really are not that good. Kaufman Renn is a serviceable big and the 2 guards , Smith and Loyer will not be the 2 fastest guards on the court every night. They need room to shoot and if Loyer is defended he will not hurt you. Their supporting cast is nowhere where they were and face it Edey covered up a lot of warts. Painter will have to coach his ass off.

Scary. Morris county frightening. Bothers me authorities have no clue.

This. Purdue’s identity is murkier without Edey.

Against the intense on-ball pressure of PSU, I thought Purdue dribbled too much and also tried to force it inside with sloppy passing and far too many contested shots on the interior.

I thought Smith needed an early screen in the backcourt or around midcout to get past Ace Baldwin and become a playmaker in the front court, but he never really got the chance.

So when I was questioning why Purdue, with their "overrated" guard (according to many here) and a true freshman Center, were projected to win the Big Ten but Rutgers was projected to barely make the tournament, because of a true freshman/inexperienced center situation, I was right?

Funny how that works out.

well right now Purdue has wins over Alabama and Ole Miss, 2 ncaa projected teams so while they may not win the league (and there is a long waaaaaaaaaay to go on that one). Meanwhile I see nothing on Rutgers resume right now
