Boston College is selling upper level, end zone seasons tickets right now for $199. Oh, I forgot to mention the most desperate part of it all: You buy one, you get one free.

IIRC Pitt was selling them for a hell of a lot cheaper than that just a few years ago. They had $10 and $5 seats!

Well, not for nothing but 2 things:
#1. NOBODY wants end zone seats and especially not upper level.
#2. 2-3 years ago we had upper SIDELINE seats in the corners for $99 and now they're only like $229, which includes the seat donation.

I had end zone seats at RU for a decade. Those aren't bad seats at all. Not sure what the upper level end zone is like, but you would be surprised how many people kept their RU end zone seats for many years. There were people I definitely saw each year.

Get someone in cheap and then have them spend $$ in overpriced food and drinks and parking...pretty smart!

I stand corrected! I overexaggerated.
When given the choice, the great majority of people would choose sideline seating and that's clearly reflected in the significantly cheaper overall pricing for our endzone seats.
That's all.

Plenty of people wouldn't think endzone seats were so undesirable until blowhards shout it from the rooftops.

I think that's fine. But, when you market it as "buy one, get one free" (instead of selling the tickets singularly for $99 each), that's the desperation part. It says "we know that, even at this price, we aren't going to sell these tickets."

Dont laugh too hard about BC,campinelli just landed two NJ kids ,one that RU really wanted today after the BC spring game..

Sure it was 'all Campanile?' Were you there when it happened? ...and if Daz is gone after this season, will Camp be soon to follow?

...inquiring minds want to know...

Pitt has season ticket for $147 for 7 games. Normally they are $99 a season. One year they were $79 a season. They jacked them up this year because Penn State in on the schedule.

BC is a terrible CFB experience .
Remember going there on the Rutgers TD Club Amtrak Train from New Brunswick 18 years ago.
The majority of the BC fans had to park in Satellite Parking Lots and take Shuttle school buses 15 miles from the Stadium (Natick or Wellsey).
Horrible game day experience . No wonder they can't sell tickets.

Don't anyone ever complain about RU Parking again.

Steve Addazio on a VERY HOT (#5) seat as HC at BC. How many NJ stick w BC if Addazio is let go ?

http://www.coacheshotseat.com/CoachesHotSeatRanking.htm

'Coming in with the hottest coaches seat in the ACC – and #5 nationally – is Steve Addazio, Boston College Head Football Coach. Heading into the last game of the 2015 college football season, Addazio has a record of 17 wins and 20 losses over a three year span with Boston College. In 2014, Addazio engineered a top 10 monster win for Boston College over University of Southern California. There are however, other coaches who have underperformed Addazio – Boston College is a hard place to win – and I respectfully disagree with the @CoachesHotSeat staff on this assessment. I think I would have Addazio with the second hottest seat in the ACC

I really don't get why so many don't get why kids want to go to Boston College. Beautiful campus, good academics in a beautiful area in arguably the best city to attend college in the United States. Like us, BC has their hard core fan base. They are located in a pro oriented sports city and also have to compete against a number of other colleges like Boston U, U-Mass and Harvard for the casual fan.

Yes, it is not a good tailgating venue but I used to love going to Boston for the weekend and taking mass transportation to the stadium. I really think we need to get past Boston College and Syracuse for that matter. Both good schools that we for the most part have passed in terms of conference affiliation, fan-base and recruiting.

Let it go.

Plenty of tailgate spots. You just cant wait until 2 hours before the game and expect to park close. So many so called tailgaters aren't dedicated. [cheers]

It is awful to get to BC for football games.

1. The campus/stadium is in the middle of a tightly packed suburb. Chestnut Hill basically hates BC. You can't park anywhere around the campus and walk over. Campus parking basically cost $5,000 for a spot.

2. Boston's subway system blows. Slower than a snail and stops at every block. Pathetic

3. You can shuttle from miles away.

4. I don't have it in front of me but the home schedule is very poor this season I believe

Being in the B1G now, if we don't surpass BC and Cuse in a big way, we're more pathetic than people think we are.

This.
The snobs in the Chestnut Hill neighborhoods refuse to let cars (fans) park on their precious streets during game days at BC. I guess this is a big deal 6 or 7 days out of 365 days per year. They want to keep the riff raf out I guess. That program will never develop a fanbase .

Understand why a student would want to go, not a student football player

That's two more NJ kids than he landed for Rutgers. Congrats to him and BC.
