It’s one of the coolest things that’s come out of this college football season.

Hey al, can we recruit thugs like Miami does too?

Other Chain Ideas:

1) The Turn Around And Look For The Ball Chain.

2) The Throw A 3rd Down Pass For The Yardage Needed Chain.

3) The Complete A Pass On A Crossing Pattern In the Middle Of The Field Chain.

4) The Complete A Swing Pass To A Running Back Chain.

The Turnover Chain is a lot more cool when you're undefeated and have a defense that actually creates turnovers.

This is Miami's turnover chain that the person who recovers a turnover gets to wear

We should out do them with this chain:

Idiotic. Should we all turn around and wave to kids after the first quarter and jump around like drunks after the third, too?

It would come across as lame and copying. Also we don't have that type of swag. Leave it for Miami. I did like when we used to have the keep chopping mantra. We really don't have anything now and the Hunt is stupid and will never catch on.

No Al. Let's stay cool and classy. If you want to do something nice and good then bring back putting stars on the helmets for an interception and perhaps expanded to a fumble recovery. A nice incentive to honor the defense and without things getting out of hand such as the stickers at Ohio Stste and FSU among others. Check the great story by Dunleavy during the week of the OSU game and where helmets stars and stickers originated.....yes it was at Rutgers and the brainchild of defensive coach Dewey King.

How about building the kind of defense that actually creates turnovers and worrying about how to celebrate it then?

I like a Knight sticker for big plays.....yeah that's a copy too but
multiple teams use it ...better than the chain or something like that

Hell no.

No one else can pull off that gimmick besides Miami and them totally owning their thug U image..

We did have a turnover chain to a degree at one point...first documented use of a helmet sticker in college football was at Rutgers for getting an interception...

"The jolt of excitement Rutgers star Pierce Frauenheim felt as he returned an interception was matched only by his anticipation of what came next.

The year was 1961, the era of two-way players. And, at the instruction of defensive backs coach and master motivator Dewey King, Rutgers team manager Tony Oliva greeted players who notched an interception on the sideline with a helmet sticker."

How we have not tried to capitalize on this part of our history yet is mind boggling...
