Just to let you know, there have been more then a few "stories" being told that Barchi and/or Bog wouldn't let Hobbs dump Ash. Without being in the room, nobody knows if that's 100% true or not,so it remains as a rumor.
There are however several
"stories" out there that people did raise the money at seasons end to can Ash but the plug was pulled on the effort by someone.

And these track with the "stories" that Julie was going to dump Flood after Year 1 or 2 but Barchi/The BOG wouldn't let her pull the trigger. Then, all the arrests, compliance, and academic interference stuff came out. And they both got canned.

So the AD may have their hands tied by the higher ups.

And if you remember, Julie also did several interviews where she said she was going to fix the olympic sports first and get them up to BIG caliber. Much like Hobbs is doing now.
