So if it's good enough for DePaul and WV,why not RU?

Yeah, I was adamant earlier in the season that your team shouldn't do this. But maybe I was wrong. I don't see much benefit, but it's fun to keep playing basketball...

Seriously, I assuming everyone watched our last three games. This team was done, done, done. Nothing good was going to happen here. Pike knew when to wrap it up.

They should let the sitting transfers play in these post season games. Might attract more eyes.

when it's over it's over--and it was obvious this team ran out of steam after the PSU loss -the CBI would not help them prepare for next year --as a matter of fact it may have helped to further the negativity at the end

IF we were red hot at the end of year then why not get the experience and exposure.

BUT we WERE NOT:thumbsdown:

[cheers] I look forward to the Spain trip....that will be amazing ![cheers]

Almost tempted to use this as an excuse for another trip to Spain.

It does cost $ per school
I think somewhere in the neighborhood of $50k
Would rather put that toward Spain trip if there was some decision point between the two
You only have to pay the entry fee if you want to play at home. The fee goes towards airfare, hotel accommodations, meals and ground transportation for the teams who travel.

I was on record towards the end of the season saying we shouldn’t turn it down. But as others have said, the team, specifically Geo was spent at the end. No point continuing to play without a point guard. If I had to watch another game with Geo shooting a jump shot to the front of the rim I might have thrown up.

And I’m not blaming him. It’s not his natural position

Gene was hobbled, Geo was spent, and the Issa incident was hanging over the team. Best to move on, rest up, and reload.

Spent or not, I wouldn't want any part of this. Not only does it cost money, it's something everyone makes fun of. We just don't need another tournament.

Heck, before the NCAA took over the NIT and starting running that like a serious tournament, I didn't like it, either. No way I'll get on a CBI bandwagon, no matter the situation.

I see our kenpom moved from #77 to #75 yesterday because Providence and Temple dropped behind us with their losses. You see, we are improving without even playing!!.....lol

We moved up another spot yesterday to #74 - Vermont fell behind us.
