So many big plays, but Williams's two treys after Ill went up 44-34 were the biggest...

Was hoping that we weren't about to let another winnable game slip away, due to not being able to shoot straight, mostly, but then Mike hit those two treys in a row to cut it back to 44-40 and we were firmly back in the game. After that, tons of more big plays: Sanders with some great drives, Freeman and Sanders actually hitting FTs (us making 11-13 might be the stat of the game), some great defense down the stretch, and of course Freeman's trey to win it (and the refs correctly reversing the OOB call at the end).

After losing so many close games down the stretch, after being in the lead, it was so nice to see us finally turn the tables on another team (and a quality one) and play better at the end to win, going from down 54-49 with 6:35 to go to winning 62-59, ending the game on a 13-5 run. And furthermore, executing so well at the very end to win the game, after still being down 59-57 with a minute to go. Very happy for the team and the staff - great win.

Had my son, a senior at RU, with me for the 2nd time this year and we had a blast. Crowd was really alive in the last several minutes. Loved Hobbs leading that cheer, too. Knowing how hard this team has competed all year, we deserved this win. Would love to see us win 1 or 2 in the tourney, too. 14-17/3-15 might not look like much, but anyone who knows basketball knows how much better we were this year. If we can get a bit more talent and continue to play hard and smart, we can start to climb in the B1G in coming years.

Also--it can't be understated...we were MONEY from the free throw line!

I believe freeman went 6/6 and Corey hit both 1 and 1s in a key spot.

11-13 from the FT. Jake Dadika gave them some steady minutes when Pike sat both Nigel and Corey. Nothing spectacular but steady and no turnovers.

couple under the radar plays:

Illinois bank shot 3 from the corner as shot clock expired. Also, at end of half ball going off of Sanders' foot and Illinois having a good look at a 3 at the end of half almost going on.

I may be wrong, but I believe Dadika was running the point when Mike Williams hit the two 3s and RU began to cut the lead from 10. That was a critical few minutes.

Yes. Noteworthy that Mike got looks when Nigel andCorey were out.

Mike Williams has been a great player this year. Even when his shot isn't falling, he's always been playing his ass off. Gotta give props for that. When he either ties or leads the team in Rebounds, kinda speaks to his character!!

Interesting combo. It was Williams, dadika, doorson, Eugene and can't remember 5th. I believe Eugene pass to doorson came in this sequence too.
