Perhaps our one real signature unique program quality. Load the line and hand down to the ground and bring it. Now we're doing the walk around sometimes punt block sometimes punt return. I know you don't want to go to the past as a new staff but when there's something that was really really good a smart staff should look into retaining that part of the culture Considering the purported friendship with Schiano, doesn't make sense that you wouldn't tap into that history

we threw away a lot of stuff that worked for a lot of stuff that doesn't. Ash is a rookie coach he'll make a lot of mistakes. To think otherwise is naive.

I'm not quite sure we have enough athletes in this program to be a great Pontin cake blocking team right now. Then again it's not like Grant has huge gaping holes when attempting to return pants. You really shouldn't have to be calling fair catch every time against Howard.

Shanked-actually could have been blocked if laid out. Old scheme would have blocked one by now.

Setting up fair catch is whats happening. Harris and sneed our athletic enough to get to the plant. We have always used freshman on special teams who are athletes. Okruch in many regards a? So far

I have no idea what it takes to be one of those.

True but the methods worked. There are enough to continue with some success.

Agree that the "methods work" but disagree otherwise. Grant is getting ZERO room on punt returns, yet we're not in punt block, and his KO return was ALL him. When you begin to lose talent in a program, and athleticism becomes a problem, it's going to show on ST's right away and other than Grant, sorry, out ST's are a major problem.

Don't think the lack of room is the blocking. They are punting it as high as they can so he can't return it. As evidenced by the punter's 34 yard average

Their guys are blowing ours off the line. Watch the punts again. Not good.

Agree atleticism is down. If assume that, isn't that all the more reason that you need to use the very best methods – to maximize the talent or lack there of ? Ash needs to get involved in the st

Maybe they are and I'm 150% sure that he is. ST's aren't going to change overnight. They weren't as good under Flood, as they were under Greg, either.
