An oft discussed topic here.

Today, boy do we have a talente advantage. The size difference is greater than I recall against academies in the past.

Even though this is a 2-8 Army team with a first time quarterback, they look smaller than previous and seem to have less playmakers. The academies usually have a crafty quarterback or fullback, but today it doesn't seem that there's much weaponry there. Straight ahead pro style will continue to work today likely

Now having seen the entirety, it was all talent and size differential.

The coaching is what kept it close. And that includes other than game day coaching.

As an ex Austin is a terrific talent. But on the td play he never finished and did the one thing he could have and needed to-stop the play. You never see that on a well coached team. But numerous times this year we have seen poor tackling and lack of finishing. That's on the training and what is drilled into the team.

I think Wharton and Austin are great young players and Austin has NFL potential. But they need real coaching. They would be an awesome combo if we get a real staff in here. Just imagine them as jrs and seniors. With this dreck now here, the same thing will be happening. There are numerous other examples of where the coaching, both in game and in preparation, held the talented and bigger team back and kept it close.

Today was just all about a bigger and more talented team and again only solidifies why Flood needs to without question need be gone.

A Rutgers team at full strength would have won the game by 30 today. Look at the injuries and you'll see a team that as an O-line that's decimated, a secondary loaded with freshmen and one junior (who didn't play). Did Caroo play today? Just trying to offer some perspective. If we were at full strength this year (no arrests) or suspensions we're 7-4 going into this last game.

100% agree.

I was SMH at the poor tackling by RU but as I tuned in to other games it is evident that poor tackling runs rampant in college football. It can be fixed.

If we had Saban as coach, we'd recruit better, have more discipline and depth and probably be competing for a playoff...instead we have Fludd and the team he has put together. If only we had the power of if.

Army is my "other team". I've been on field with players after spring game and a lot of Army players are shockingly small. They had had a 200 lb MLB (G. Bacon) one year. Did you see Army try the fake kick today? They don't have the talent to pull plays like that off (I've seen enough flubbed gimmick plays to know). When kicking a FG, Most team's fans pray their kicker makes it. With Army you pray for a good snap/hold first lol. You saw first kick get messed up today.
