The #2 Ranked Teenager That's Better Than Paul George | Ace Bailey Film Breakdown & Scouting Report

Recently found this video. I know the clips selected were to make a point, but it is interesting at the very least. Pike has to work Ace hard to get the most out of him.

For me Ace is one of the best offensive talents in HS I ever saw, but we might want to temper our expectations some until Ace proves himself.

I watched a game where his team lost by a Point, trailing most of the way and just failing at the end with a decent chance
He looked ok to me, not a superstar, and maybe not the best
performer on the court that day
Yes, he got his 20 plus, but to me, no expert of course , it was not what we have been hearing about

Extrapolated, we should not expect college performance after performance to wow the crowd, he might give us pedestrian results at times, and killer great games also

I have seen several games of Ace, including the one at Jersey Mike’s. He is without doubt one of the most gifted offensive players I ever saw. It’s the other parts of his game that need work. With his athleticism he could be as good as he wants in all aspects, just has to want it.

No doubt, my only point was, that when competing against really good players and teams, he might not dominate as much as some hope
Overall,.at the end, we will see a great player, but off what I saw not every time or every game

No smart basketball fan believes that Ace and Dylan are going to "dominate " anyone at the college level......there are rare dominate players in CBB, the last one I consider dominate, was Duke with Zion Williamson.

Even as good as Edey at Purdue is, I don't believe or would put him in a dominate category.

Guards are typically players who actually control the tempo or how a team performs and while Bailey isn't a guard, he is as close to a 2 way player, who can score, get to the basket and become a weak side shot blocking player, which impacts both ends of the court.

If we are looking at Ace as strictly an offense 1st player, we are grossly underrating what he brings to the table. I feel fairly confident that as Ace gets into a flow of understanding what teams do on offense vs him and his teammates on defense, is where (to me) he separates himself in terms of potential.

If fans are interested in evaluating Ace as strictly a 3 point shooter and not everything else in his game, there will be fans complaining for sure. I'm sure the efficiency geeks are in love with Cooper Flagg because he only takes "shots he can make", where Bailey can get to anywhere on the floor and score.

I am kind of shocked by these comments in this thread. I have been watching HS basketball for over 45 years. Ace Bailey is one of the top five HS kids I have ever seen. He scores in any way possible, blocks a ton of shots and is a great rebounder. You guys are way too harsh.

But some guy made a YouTube video

Whatever his performance next season will be far better than any player on the current roster. We are talking about a recruit that is projected to be in the first group of players selected in the NBA draft.

Hawk? You wouldn’t call Edey dominant? What game are you watching?

Guess people don’t understand what constructive criticism means.

Wonder how many people who commented even watched the video.
My comments were to our fellow posters and not the video.

I was not being harsh
I saw one game, not a sample size, but one game where he
was not the best player that day and did not dominate

Now, I expect him to be an outstanding player for us, the best we ever had

Probably saw it here last week:

That's the thing, though. He's not just some guy. Alton "Dorian" Clark has more than a quarter million subscribers on YouTube. He's a rapper and ex-coach. He's a guy players nationwide pay attention to.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorian_(rapper)
Is he a guy players nationwide pay attention to though? Because his following is under 200K on Instagram and around 250K on YouTube. Most of his videos have a couple thousand views, while the ones where he has a big name like Cooper Flagg or Cam Boozer in the title have about 200,000 views.

He uses kids with bigger followings than him and controversial titles like “Why Cooper Flagg is Overrated” or “The #2 Ranked Player That Won’t Play in the NBA | Cameron Boozer Film Breakdown & Scouting Report” to boost views on his channel.

All "YouTubers" have tricks to bring in viewers... and Dorian is no exception.

With that said, Flagg's video was posted two months ago. That's why it has 250K views. Bailey's video, posted less than a week ago, will have that many views in two months, too.

Look at the rest of his videos outside of those two and find me another one that has any significant amount of views. He also self released his music and very clearly wrote that Wikipedia page himself. Players around the country aren’t looking to this guy for anything, the most significant thing he has done was being an assistant coach at Monteverde over a decade ago.

I would argue Jabari Smith dominated at the college level, and I think that’s a realistic, albeit optimistic, comparison for Ace Bailey

BS -- criticism based on what!? Just people acting like they know something that will happen a year from now. Know it alls who are not college coaching professionals. Constructive,? based upon a amateur 's prospective?

Click on the link below, then click on Popular... many videos with over 100K views.

Having a couple hundred thousand views on videos from three years ago doesn’t reinforce the idea that players all across the country are looking out for what this guy has to say, especially considering almost all of his most viewed videos have absolutely nothing to do with basketball.

No one knows who this guy is. You had never heard of this guy until you saw his Ace Bailey video.
