The B1G show.

I get what they are saying about Rutgers....historically they follow big wins up and then lost to horror shows like Northwestern, Minnesota or Nebby.

Before they put RU up as their as a Big 10 title contender they want to see the program take care of business vs the lessers of the league

What? When have we done this under Pike?

We beat Ohio St at home in 2018-19 and then lost to Minnesota on the road.. but Minnesota was a better than that us and losing was no surprise at all. We lost to Nebraska after a "big" win against Indiana in 2020-21, but the win was only "big" for our tournament hopes.. Indiana wasn't very good. Last year's Northwestern loss came after a close road win against Nebraska, not a "big" win.. and then we had 4 big wins in a row.

Also horror show is pretty strong.. were we even favored in that Northwestern game last season? I'm too lazy to look up the actual line but Bart had NW favored by ~7 points so I seriously doubt it.

I didn't watch the show, but if Bardo says we need to show consistency I assume he's referring to Temple and Seton Hall, not some Nebraska game from two seasons ago.

I thought it was a general statement covering Rutgers the last few years. Bardo is confusing different periods of last year. He mentioned how we beat Purdue the previous year, then went on the road and lost to Northwestern and Minnesota.

No. I watched. He specifically said that we lost games to Northwestern and Minnesota after big wins and that he wants to see us take care of the lesser teams in the league to show some consistency.

Okay.

It's odd he said that considering those things didn't happen.

We do need to avoid the letdown against the Terps and Hawkeyes. But it's hard to say we were too inconsistent last season in league play when we became the first ever unranked team to beat for ranked teams in a row.

Look I love the love we are getting but anyone else find it funny that the highlights were 85% Purdue highlights?

Even though we won the game...

I noticed that in the final few minutes, they showed Purdue hitting two 3s to take the lead both times. How'd we get in front again? Almost like they were building the highlight package, then had to change course when we won.

Revsine couldn't believe the way that ended, he was incredulous! Very thrilling game.

we were decimated by Nebraska a couple years back. We lost to a horrific Minnesota and then Maryland at home after that great win over Iowa by 2. The point is that we do have some good wins and then lose to bottom teams...that prevents us from being a league contender.

we lost 3 of 4 to Minny, Northwestern, Maryland, beat a bad Nebby by 2.
