The B1G show.

Three teams we only face at home: Michigan, Nebraska, and Maryland. Goal is 3-0.

Three we only play away: Purdue, Wisconsin, and Illinois. My hope was get one. Now let's get greedy and get at least two. As I said elsewhere, Wisconsin is not scary good, even though they have a gaudy record, and Illinois is stumbling. We could take one of these.

Home and homes: goal is to sweep Minnesota and Northwestern. Preseason, I would have added PSU too and said we should aim for 5-1 in these six.

Get at least a split against the other four (Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan State, and Indiana). We booked one of those and were robbed of the 2nd one.

That would get us to 13-7.

I don't think that is unreasonable if we stay healthy moving forward and continue to play good hard team basketball.

they dont mean literally THE next game, i think you know this
This is what I thought you/they meant.. I thought you were referring to letdown games. I certainly agree last year's team was wildly inconsistent. Other seasons I don't think so. That Nebraska game was terrible, granted, but it was the manner of the loss that was terrible.. it was still a Q2 at the end of the day.

If we're talking about conference games only, in 19-20 all of our losses were Q1. In 20-21 we had 2 Q2 losses and the other 8 were Q1.

we lost 3 of 4 to Minny, Northwestern, Maryland, beat a bad Nebby by 2.
Also none of those losses were even particularly surprising last year. Last year's team just wasn't that good on average and their inconsistency is what saved them. Trade those 3 for losses against some of the ranked teams we beat and we don't make the tournament probably.

19-20 and the current team are the best teams Pike has had here.

Nice to see Penn State FB lose top billing to RU B-Ball!!

Do they still have those “I Like Pike” buttons?
how bout that Rutgers bb team

Big time game but no msm Coverage? the b1g conference/msm hate on Rutgers is getting old

Ironically I was at the Citrus Bowl. The smack down rivaled some of the worst Rutgers football losses of the past.

Perhaps the stadium was being visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, er, Terry Shea and Chris Ash.

Let’s be honest, if not for the calls heavily titled towards Purdue, RU wins by nine points or more.

RU outplayed PU in almost every category.
