We’ve seen many wild endings to a wrestling season, but nothing may top how 2020 ended.
Due to the rapid spreading of COVID-19, the NCAA chose to cancel all winter sports championships. It ended the season for all wrestlers, but this was the end of a career for seniors.
Unfortunately, I can relate to the somber feeling those seniors are currently experiencing. Granted, my wrestling career did not end due to an expected pandemic, but it did come to a unexpected halt due to injury. Regardless how your career ends, it is never easy to accept.
