No one, not Pickiell, not the players, not the fans, thinks this is the finished product ready to compete in the B1G. Work is needed in shot selection and transition offense. We need set plays. Looks like it's headed in the right direction.
Do you remember Gary Waters' first season, the 2001-02 team (Kent, Lamaizna, Coleman, Ricky Shields) that won 18 games and went to the NIT? That seasons started with losses to East Carolina and VCU. If they won those early games they'd have been a tourney team. Anyway, better to start off winning. It's a good habit to have. Next couple should be fun. Miami will be interesting.
 
By winning early (and on the road) has piqued the TEAM's interest. Gotta be nice to see the hard work pay off.
