Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but saw Tim Pernetti walking around at the Rutgers Shootout on Saturday. I assume he has a son or nephew playing for Ramapo High School who I think got down to the Final Eight.--On another note, saw Guarantano ,and I assume family, all wearing Tennessee gear. Ugh !

I see now what scum the Guarantanos are.

If you are coming to a RU facility then don't were Tennessee gear, period! You can wear your BC clothes or something else but coming to RU and wearing a T outfit. I hope he breaks his F%%@ing legs.

You need to stop being so reticent and tell us how you really feel!

I don't think i've ever rooted against a NJ kid who spurned RU but i think that will change now. With you except the last sentence which you should reconsider.

Couldn't they disinvited him ? Or just asked him to leave. The more I read about Anthony Russo the more I think he's a better pick.

Guarantano was invited to the 7/7 so it would be bad form to "uninvite" him.

However...

He has been told that as long as he remains a Tennessee commit, he is no longer welcome at the Hale Center.

Sounds like the entire clan has a serious case of the look-at-me's.
Yes, it sure seems that way. They keep coming to RU in T gear and rubbing it into our faces. F them!

If they had class they would either stay away or wear something that is not going to rub it into RU. I expect that one of the parents would have enough class especially the father who is now a complete ass. Look at me and my son, look at me and my son, look at me and my son...

Believe me I understand he's proud but there are limits. Show some class for God's sake.

Maybe being told he's not welcome at the Hale center was the reason him and family acted petty and wore that Tenn gear.

If he's that committed to TN, was is he at a shootout to begin with. Shouldn't he be working his skill with a QB coach somewhere instead?

Good for K Flood! It's about time someone called out these d bags. Lost all respect for the old man. I hope they follow through and don't invite him to any games or recruiting events in the fall either. Let them take that quick trip down to Knoxville. :uzi:

I agree. The family has not been good to Rutgers in the least bit. Jarrett has strung us along and played games with Flood and fans. Jim was a great player and warrior for us but as far as I'm concerned he is a modern day Benedict Arnold and we need to keep him away from the team

Any head coach in the BIG with a pair of balls would have told them to get lost. Isn't the old man a Tenn employee now as part of the conceded kids deal?

What in the world would make them think they should be welcomed in the Hale Center? It's for RU football. JG lost that right when he announced to Tenn.

It reminds me of the kid who felt he should be able to announce his choice of PSU inside HPSS.

What are these people thinking? I guess it's what happens when everyone is kissing your butt because you play a sport.

Some of you guys need to stop. He chose Tennessee...freaking move on already. It's an afterthought at thus point. One person doesn't make the program. There will be many others after Jarett. Christ!

I go back and forth about this. The Times Square video was wayyyy too much and I sure don't like kids wearing other schools' gear in New Jersey (especially on our campus),BUT I also think it is a good idea,up to a point, not to burn bridges. --And for the ladies that were wondering, I didn't notice Tim P. wearing sandals or the blue sportjacket, but he did have the classic sunglasses on top of his head.

Meh.

I think this is a perfectly acceptable bridge to burn. There's no downside.

I would settle for a toll booth on that bridge instead if burning it.

You must be new to RU. There will be NO ONE that has a dad who is a former RU icon who strings us along like the Guarantino kid did. And no one needs to stop ......thanks.

In this case it's open season IMO....was never a big fan of the kid...always wanted Haskins but like Russo better than JG...

I don't do the high profile camp circuit but have a few friends who are deep in it and they say nothing good about him or the father...so have at it...

and the way Tenn is recruiting they'll be on probation soon enough anyway...

I remain appalled that this continues

Jim G...if he is one of us...tones it down

Maybe he doesn't care that much about his alms mater anymore

The lack of respedt is bothersome

Seems like Jim G doesn't care about Rutgers and not worth worrying about.
Same with the son, both made their decision and not worth mentioning anymore.
Hopefully the son will never be part of Rutgers, if he ever wants to be and the father treated as a
valued member of past RU football, but not wanted to be part of its future.
