Title IX: Rutgers coach salaries most equitable in Big Ten

Not surprising. Way under paid football coach with a way over paid women's basketball coach.
Yes most of our coaches are underpaid. Our athletic department is underfunded. This directly effects our recruitment and success. More Money = Greater Success. Not rocket science.

And I think that is REALLY where the RU leadership wants to be #1.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Do you really think that? Is that why we spent $100 million expanding the softball facilities and football got some fatheads for sidelines?

It is not the most important thing. Yikes, agendas much?

Our Women's BB coach got a pay cut and Flood got a raise.

Rutgers is not coming from a Power 5 conference before joining the big Ten, so everything will be a struggle until we are fully caught up.

Plus she is a long time HC and a HoFer, and the other two potential power coaches are both new comters to college coaching, and were hired when Rutgers was at its absolute brokest.

As we saw with Schiano, if they succeed, Rutgers will pay them what it takes to keep them here. If they dont, I suspect we will use some of our new found riches (when in fact we get them, which is still a few years away) to hire someone for more money.

But yeah - definitely RU is making its salary decisions based on this stuff. Ya'll are weirdos.

Remember when that one obnoxious friend of yours always brought up how Coach Schiano was the highest paid employee of the state? Yeah. Remember when your annoying friend always brought up that CVS was the highest paid employee of the state when Greg first left (or damn near close)? Yeah me neither.

Nobody really cares.

Women's Softball $1 million for facilities and football only fatheads?
How much has women's softball gotten for facilities over the past 10 years? How much as football gotten during the same period?

PSU wishes they had a women's bball coach with the success of Stringer.

Like it or not most of the Rutgers community could care less about women's basketball. Stringers salary turns off and you might even say creates some animosity among fans of other sports. I don't think anyone, anywhere is jealous.

Even stringer's assistants have been paid more than a number of women's and men's head coaches. The salaries to women's ball coaches represent a poor return on investment. No one goes to the games. Their games are boring!
