… you can’t have it both ways. The reality is the only thing that matters is scoring 1 more point than your opponent. Some of you seem to love complaining about everything.

Some of you complain about NIL but never say anything about the NCAAs tournament committee and it’s members who decide who gets into or left out of the tournament without ever having seen a game of some of the teams.

Selective complaining seems to be a pastime for you.

May I suggest going back to your childhood and just enjoying the wins?

You seem to have it backwards.

If the only thing that matters is scoring 1 more point than your opponent, doesn't that mean the Alabama and Texas A&M games weren't impressive?
We lost.

The selectiveness comes from evaluating losses beyond the scoreboard but evaluating wins on only the scoreboard.

That's having it both ways.

There is a group of people who say there are no moral victories and complain about close wins. Consistency would be complaining about about loosing by a bucket and embracing winning by a bucket.

Actually according to the NET, scoring 1 more point than your opponent is not the only thing that matters. But hey at least we beat a dog crap SHU team that’s one of the worst scoring teams will play and we still have no idea how to defend the interior, run awful offensive sets, and have no clue what our sub patterns will be.

If Rutgers made a reasonable number of free throws they win by 11 cover the spread and everyone is happy. Weird things happen in basketball particularly rivalry games. Take the w and move on. We aren’t going to win a lot of games with 15 missed free throws and 15 turnovers.

Really weird to go from excellent foul shooting to horrible foul shooting.
In sports you seek your norm, usually middle ground.
But we are Rutgers where nothing is normal 😊

I def think there was some nervousness and then you miss a couple it can feed on itself. Good thing is we won so now they can relax next time haha.

Regardless of our terrible interior defense and horrific FT shooting ( excluding Dercack and Lathan) - I was euphoric after Dylan hit the game winner !

Just win baby !

How about letting fans do and be whatever they want.
Now that i think about it, positive fans complaining about critical fans is a welcome segment of every fanbase…. Have at it😊

I think it depends what you’re looking for. How much you win or lose by obviously matters for what you expect in the future. But it also doesn’t change that the game counts as a win/loss right now.

it’s very black and white for me fluoxy.
After a win I complain with a smile on my face, after a loss I complain with a frown😊

Agree fans should do what they want but it's a shame we have so many negative fans. We can pick out over a hundred bad plays in every game that is played out there but I only see a few people celebrating the big shot at the end or the great shooting nights by Harper and Bailey. Some people just cannot be happy. It's sad really.

We have two lottery draft picks. The team will revolve around them and those who play D, rebound and make good passes plus a few other intangibles like Derkack drawing so many fouls all year will get their minutes. Game to game may see different rotations due to matchups.

Complaints about other guys not scoring enough is not only negative but pretty f'ing stupid.

Isn’t it amazing how hitting in baseball, drops in football, poor shooting in basketball etc….
Are all contagious
Agreed. I believe it has everything to do with the lack of teaching fundamentals first and then advanced techniques.

Baseball: no one knows how to bunt or situational hitting like moving a runner over to second base with one out in a close game.

Basketball: Free throws - too much movement and never quite setting before one fluid motion of the foul shot.

Football: Drops - lack of creative drills to get more separation and make easier catches. Playing in a summer ultimate frisbee league (team sports with end zones), a tight end in college learned to get more separation, angle his body, and learned to catch with one hand...and started that year and was successful.

Exactly. We actually played better in Vegas than last night but 1-0 is better than 1-2.
