Seems to be positive reaction all around. However, I was curious about the quote from the Timber Creek coach stating that, "He's really making a concerted effort to get us back in good graces ..."

Just curious, is there any specific reason why Rutgers is not in their good graces?

Maybe the Jennings decommit situation? or Webb flip (nothing Flood did wrong)

The other players on the roster don't seem to have any problems, so I don't think its a huge deal

Additionally, would be nice to hear what his ties are beyond NJ, in midwest Big Ten states as well as DC area, Maryland, PA, Florida. Took a quick look at credentials of Purdue's Director of Recruiting -- he spent two years in the same position at the University of Cincinnati and three years at Marshall.

Out of state ties are nice, of course, but at this point, our best bet to get top players is to keep local talent home. While we have gotten a few players in the past with top notch offers from FL, MD and NY, most of our top talent has been from NJ. We will not be able to beat out Michigan, OSU etc. for top Midwest or PAC10 schools for top West Coast players until we become more competitive in the B1G. Our most likely route to that is keeping top players home. If Flood and his staff can't do that, we need someone who can.

He and Galianno (sp ?) are the coaches recruiting SJ. They are the ones who can go on the road and visit schools and players.
