Trash Talk When You Are Down 19 Points?

While I obviously applaud players who have confidence that they can overcome a half-time deficit, trash talking when you are down 19 can only hurt you. I am probably not in favor of trash talking ever, but especially in this situation. The result of it being used in the locker-room to fire-up the opposition was predictable.

I call complete B.S. here. This isnt the first time Peppers has told stories. I'll bet money that any "trash talk" was started by Peppers himself... our guys were probably just responding if anything. He couldn't keep his mouth shut during the game last year and he wasn't even playing. Peppers is a well known trash talker, so I don't believe that we instigated anything.

I see it all the time. I don't know when it became the in thing to celebrate after every play but it is annoying. Guy makes a tackle after a six yard run and acts like he won the lottery.

I didn't mind touch down celebrations, some were inventive and entertaining, but it is out of control now after almost every play someone does some kind of demonstrative celebration.

Harbaugh has a well earned reputation as a complete and utter jackass. Give it a few years, he'll do something real stupid and wear out his welcome in Ann Arbor.

Nope. JH is actally a fairly quiet guy and is respected and appreciated by the Michigan family. The animosity towards JH by other schools is amazing, I don't know how much of it is jealousy because of his obvious coaching talent or disgust that he left the NFL to come back to AA. You are a free man to have your opinion but, in M, we really feel like we lucked out.

Talk to his players and the administration at Stanford and with the Niners. Both were pleased to see him move along. Would I like someone like him to arrive at RU? Of course. Wins are wins and when he is being obnoxious to weaker teams, I would love it. By the way, Michigan fans hated him when he was at Stanford and opined that when he played under Bo, players were highly encouraged to take easy classes/majors as football was their primary function. Not exactly the image Michigan likes to convey. But time heals wounds.
