So one of the most legendary coaches in college football, Nick Saban, had Tua and Hurts on his roster at the same time.

Both were solid. Both had their own unique talents they brought to the table.

Instead of using both, you know what coach did? He stuck with one. Maybe he knows something about getting into a rhythm with a QB? Maybe he knows a thing or two on the toll having multiple QBs takes on the rest of the team?

So why on earth does Rutgers think they're some kind of offensive masterminds with the swapping around? Never mind the QBs on our roster don't have even a small fraction of the talent like Hurts and Tua.

Are we that arrogant and asinine?

What if one was wearing a boot and one was throwing passes with a hand injury? So #3 was the only healthy scholarship QB

Spurrier at UF is the last one I can remember doing the qb switching with such regularity.

This is what everyone is losing sight of…and play calling doesn’t help to play to playmaker strengths to help out the qb.

And Mac Jones at third string lol

Was going to type, "Who was the 3rd stringer?". I'd assume probably someone else who made the NFL

I go back about 15 years to a cold, snowy Friday night at West Point when Teel tried to play with an injured thumb. After 2 1st quarter interceptions Schiano pulled him and had Jabu run the Wildcat the rest of the night. Unfortunately Rutgers wasn't playing a mediocre Army team last night.

When we have two future NFL talents I'll get back too. In the meantime a sensationally stupid thread

Yeah maybe, but he chose the wrong guy. That is being flushed out now in the NFL. Just to remind people that even top level coaches make the wrong decisions at times. It’s not a science, more of an art.

Forget about doing what saban does , just hire the guy . #Hire saban now !!
get it done hobbs

It's not yet clear that Tua was the wrong guy. The Dolphins were a offensive coaching shitshow until this season. And Tua did win them a National Championship after Saban benched Hurts.

Tua is injury prone and wont last
He's one of those RG3 type players who has a knack for the awkward hits
I dont think I ever saw an NFL QB ragdolled before
