Two stats that scare me

Last in B1G in 3 point %
Next to last in FT %

Two things I think that need to improve to get to March and be successful.

The first 1 isn't as important cause I think we're at the top in 2pt%??
. Answer = 2's > 3's.

The 2nd? That's how you will lose. Games will only be tighter and every point counts. It usually comes down to the line. You have to make at least the front of the 1 n 1.

7 wins and 13 losses in B1G last season....started 1-6 in B1G last season.

Since starting 1-6 on MLK Day 2019, RU is 14-9 in B1G regular season play.

Those are improvements to acknowledge from 365+ days or so ago.

Ranked 2nd week in a row, beat a rugged team in Purdue that is a mirror image of what RU is evolving into. Defense, rebounding, become tough at home.

JHC..I just looked and we lost by 35!!! last year at their place. Biggest lose of season by 20pts!! WOW.

yikes... I guess winning had me fooled.
LOL...its 31% last year full season. 31% last year in conf.
31% this year full season to date......but..but wait for it......32% in Conference to date lol.

Montex is 45%!! 9 of 20 in conference. I knew he was killing it out there. But why does he take em early but hardly any in the 2nd half?

There is no one on this team to hate... no one that you think.. oh god.. why him. Each can have their foibles.. their mistakes.. their little slumps.. but they pick eachother up and they all play defense.

Love these guys.

If we are going to play this game it's the rebounding trending down the last few games that concerns me a bit. The shooting seems to be trending up minus Myles FT

We won last night and that is the only thing which matters. Most teams even good ones have their flaws. As far as foul shooting we have really only 2 players who need improvement. Piekell on his post game interview intimated that he and the team are aware of that deficiency and work on it. Said, “ now I won’t have to get emails tomorrow”. We are a much better team and program today than in many years. People just always look for the negatives especially Rutger’s fans and those who live here in New Jersey. A very good reason why people around this country view our state and it’s people as self loathing losers. Just enjoy this team and root them home on Saturday against a very tough opponent.

I love this team. Just pointing out that we can continue to improve.
