Uniforms?

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers University Department of Athletics, in partnership with Nike, unveiled an updated brand and identity system at the annual R Awards at the RAC this evening. The refreshed secondary mark and added elements create consistency for an athletics program poised to complete its second successful season in the Big Ten, the nation’s premier athletic and academic Conference.

These unis are ok & the new knights head logo is better than the old but it shouldn't be emphasized or used as a primary logo like it was on the wrestling singlet. I really miss the silver helmets & sword stripe on the helmets. Why wouldn't they put the sword stripe on the red & white helmets?

I feel like this is the closet thing Nike will ever allow us to "normal." These gimmicks are good for once a year (special combat version)... That's what they were at first..a special one game uniform...then, once Nike saw $$$, these stupid gimmicks became the norm...I just want a normal, plain, run of the mill football uniform again...

Seriously, the block R is the best thing Rutgers ever had going for it...it's clean, crisp and became our number 1 marketing tool...it is our symbol, it is our identity... There is so much equity built in to it.... I honestly get pissed off when people try to f*ck with it...

Relax dude it's a secondary logo. Block R singlet and other uniforms are still primary.

Agreed I really liked the double stripe in the helmet, especially on the white helmet. It's one of the things the previous uniforms got right IMO.

I like the new knight logo, not sure if I like it enough to replace the "R" on the wrestling singlets. I thought other teams had a similar logo, but I couldn't find anything close. Here's another look at it with just the outline and no color

Think the goal of the knight logo is to be used as a true second logo, like Florida with the gator, MSU (the opposite way) with the S, USC with the trojan, etc.

Nobody is "f*cking" with the Block R and we've ALWAYS had the knight-head logo, as a secondary one, regardless.
