You don't know anything other than Twitter, and second knowledge. You can't even comment about this, because only myself,my contact, the kid and the kids parent know.Just stop already! You are the troll.Goody is doing himself and the staff a diservice having you report anything and everything about Rutgers Wrestling.More insulting is that you've never ever, ever, ever stepped out on the wrestling mat as D1 Wrestler, let alone a former RU Wrestler like myself. So just shut up already ya media hack.

Wow...them seems like fightin’ words

Is this a pin? Lol

I read this thread and the apology thread and do not understand why the OP thought it was a good idea to disclose this information at this time. Did he get the family’s consent to do this because I don’t see any upside to this at all for the kid. Seems to be a little selfish and another look at me type of disclosure.

I agree. What was the purpose of making the statement when there is a risk to his eligibility and career if somehow it gets out. (Goody doesn't know about the transfer, because this kid is still wrestling and risks eligibility and his career.)

From rufeelinit.....I am also shocked that the parents stated that it was ok with you sharing that their son would be coming on a message board when you wrote that he risks eligibility and his career (Yes got families consent, but nobody knows who he is yet, so there's no harm done).

Not validating anyone’s opinions on either side. Just curious as to the purpose of the original post. I apologize if I missed it......lol

If we don't know who it is, then what's the harm? If he gave us more details and could decipher who it is then you're right he should have kept it to himself. As is, we have nothing but wild speculation.

There is no harm done. I like the rumor and topic. Its great to have rumors and speculation, especially of top level talent coming in. It makes for good discussion. Beats the hell out of second guessing Aragona's redshirt for the millionth time, that's for sure.
Lol...I’ll second that notion !...Aragona redshirt discussion is relentless and some just won’t let it go ...I’ll be glad when we move on from that issue .

I’m guessing it’s Jacob cardenas
I thought about Cardenas but with the clues given, two years left plus a redshirt, seeing if a family can move here (he's from Jersey) it just doesn't add up, Then again, at first the guy was Suriano level and now he's been downgraded to multiple AA if all goes well. Also he's supposed to be coming from the midwest. But Creedo, who likes to remind you how many years he was in college, apparently never studied a map while there so that piece of evidence has been dismissed. The only logical answer is Ben Darmstadt. he may not be happy with the coach (as was stated) for having to drop to 184, they absolutely have a logjam at the upperweights next year, and he has two full years left plus possibly a redshirt since he only gray shirted in 2017. In other words, call me when they get Ben Darmstadt and I'll plan the welcome wagon because he's the tits.

That’s who I thought as well. Not sure if there’s a friendship here or just a coincidence but Darmstadt is a graduate of Elyria HS, where Dylan Shawver currently attends

That's enough of a connection for me! For all we know they're neighbors!

Don’t think it could be him simply because if he is a Nick Suriano level transfer he wouldn’t be asked to cut weight to 184 by his current team ..a four time AA type like NS is would have his choice of which weight he wants to go I would think .

You would think that but the fact is whoever the transfer is, he's not Suriano level. Few are. Perhaps the weight change was the reason for the beef between wrestler and coach.

The only wrestlers in the NCAA right now that are truly Nick Suriano level are Lee, Gross, Joseph, Hall, Zahid and Steveson. I think that comment was made to indicate we’d be getting a hammer. Not just a NQ but a guy who can do serious damage in the tournament.

I’m hopeful this news comes true but there seems to be some exaggeration on both sides. I don’t believe the OP asked for family permission to post on an internet message board. That seems kind of ridiculous. I also don’t believe the other guy who got unnecessarily hostile spoke with Scott Goodale personally in order to dispel a rumor posted on an internet message board.

How is eligibility being risked by a kid wanting to transfer? It happens all the time.

If he’s talking to Goodale while still wrestling for his current team, it’s a violation. I’m not sure it would jeopardize the wrestler’s eligibility but Goodale/Rutgers would likely face consequences. Doubt that’s what’s going on here though.

Scott knows nothing about this. I can confirm it as I asked him.
Apparently even if he does know he would not be able to admit that to anyone as he would put himself and the wrestler in jeopardy with the NCAA.

Either just tell us or don’t post. The I know something but I’m not going to tell you are nonsense and worthless.
Because if he changes his mind, then I look like an idiot. This is just in the early stages. It's very serious commit. But if things don't go the right way and he sandbags himself with his current coach then he's really screwed. When he gets on campus then the rest of the administration or staff can fill everyone in. When I rumored that a big time upperweight was coming, eventually people figured out it was campolattano, and I let the cat out of the bag. The same situation here. I'm not going to sandbag a potential AA recruit because you have a hard-on for my post. What the hell do you get to lose out of it?

I hate repeating myself on this. Goody has no idea who it is. This has just come to fruition the last week and a half to two weeks. Just be patient it will all pan out. I spoke to the kids parents tonight, and they and their son or 100% on board.
