However, the “Jersey” connection with Michigan is what is standing out about the Wolverines, says Fuller.
“Michigan, they love Jersey guys, so that means a lot to me,” Fuller said. “And (their) education is great too. The tradition there, I think Michigan pays attention to their corners, too.”
And Fuller says U-M is recruiting New Jersey with a plan.
“It’s an initiative,” Fuller said of U-M’s focus on Garden state products. “They want to have guys that live in similar places. Like, if one of them wants to go home they cold travel with each other. Just having the familiarity and stuff like that.”

Well, Mr Fuller, Rutgers has all of that stuff except the tradition. And traveling home would not be problem. You would be home.
Someone should smarten these kids up and let them know what they really think about New Jersey in places like Michigan and Ohio.

When the front of the Jersey says MICHIGAN, OHIO STATE, PENN STATE that is the school you are representing. The nice little articles with Peppers saying I'm repping NJ out here in Michigan are just that nice little articles. At the end of the day he is bringing fame and glory to the state of Michigan not NJ. It's that simple to understand.

It's called 7 million reasons and oh yea a coach named Jim Harbaugh. While we had 1.4 million reasons and a guy named Kyle Flood. That's how it worked out for Michigan.
And jersey is not a school, it's a state. You can rep a state and a university at the same time. Military stationed oversees are Americans even if they aren't in America. It's that simple to understand
No. No it's not. You're example is ridiculous. American servicemen oversees wear USA armed forces uniforms.
What's not to understand. You wear a Michigan uniform, you are bringing notoriety to Michigan. I don't give a Sh&t if they say he's from Jersey! And I have no problem with a kid going out of state. It's a free country. But repping Jersey means playing in Jersey.

To be fair, Michigan hasn't landed a kid from the Northern Jersey private schools who were the most against Rutgers hiring Partridge. I guess they'll probably get Gary, but I don't think any of these kids went there because of CP.
I don't understand... Rutgers is the flagship state school in NJ and UM is the flagship state school in Michigan. If you go to Michigan, you represent Michigan. If you go to OSU and you are wearing a Michigan uniform, you represent Michigan. That's my understanding. Am I wrong?

There was a video last summer where a reporter asked Eli Apple why he didn't attend Rutgers (or something along those lines), his response was simply that he wanted to play big time college football. Currently, I can't hate on someone who chooses to attend the Ohio States and the Michigans of the world. How can you get mad at someone who chooses Harbaugh/Meyer over an average AAC offensive line coach? The good news is we've taken step one towards redemption (a coach with a legit B10 resume). Now we need to put a product on the field that leads the cream of the crop to believe that Rutgers is "big time" college football.
The funny thing is we still don't receive any players from those programs. And now he's taking the kids that were supposed to come here
Don't understand how people can call an 18 yr old dumb for choosing a free college education. They are kids, I wish and hope they stay in NJ but 2 her ever they decide to go I wish them luck. WIN AND THEY WILL COME.
