There’s a large crosswalk with traffic light. Crossing is easy. The police (Trenton or Sheriff) will usually be there. Most likely across the intersection.Appears to be a traffic light there. Perhaps they also have a traffic cop there during events?
This is correctOK - I’m convinced.
It’s been nice knowing you . . . 🤣🤣🤣I am going to walk the route this weekend and record my experience for everyone.
That was a high school fight gone badIs it better inside or outside the arena?

Careful you may be branded a racist. Fans on Discord were bemoaning the game at Barclays because for some people it is a pain to get to and people didn’t feel safe on a subway. Some guy instantly pulled the race card. Disgusting.I’ve been there a lot. I live in Hamilton. Cure arena area is ok due to the event staff and Sheriff’s office in the area during events. As far as walking from the train station? Absolutely not.
No, it’s not safe for most fans , especially at nightAccording to google maps it looks like its a 12-15 minute walk. Has anyone ever done it before? Safe walk?
Attending an event there is fine with the parking lot. They host the central Jersey pop Warner cheer competition at Cure every October. If thousands of little girls can perform at this arena, you tough guys can attend a college basketball game.
The area from Newark Penn to Washington Park is MUCH better than the area by the Trenton train stationThis thread reminds me of the time when I was working at the Newark campus in the old Law School building by Washington Park. One morning walking to to there from Penn Station some guy is getting off a bus at the park and with a deer in the headlights look asks me if it safe walking there.
I suspect most of the posters on this thread saying how unsafe it is have never been to the CURR Arena or have any knowledge of the area.
The Barclays center isn’t a bad place at all nor is Cure Arena. I’m just saying that the area that you would walk isn’t easy in Trenton. There’s only two traffic signals that you would cross at and the path is not well lit, not to mention a 15 minute walk. Take an Uber.Careful you may be branded a racist. Monmouth ?? or was it Freehold???Careful you may be branded a racist. Fans on Discord were bemoaning the game at Barclays because for some people it is a pain to get to and people didn’t feel safe on a subway. Some guy instantly pulled the race card. Disgusting.
Near the arena, around Clinton & Hamilton is very downtrodden. Not a place to be walking around. If that one street is Martin Luther King Blvd you are seriously asking for a problem if you're walking down that street.
One of the saddest streets I have ever seen in NJ. Sad sad shit. Was like being in a 3rd world country.

That bit was funny as hell. For the record, MLK Blvd. improves as you get closer to downtown Newark. But I know the part Skoolie is talking about.- YouTube

Maybe you would rather read than fight traffic down Route 1 or 27 at rush hour. This would definitely be an easier sell if it was a Saturday or Sunday afternoon game.Unless you don’t drive and/or have a car there’s no good reason to take a train. Traveling to Trenton is nothing like traveling to MSG, where the train is usually a better option.

Would building a wall around it be better?😎Just look at street view on the route
Should be fine. Just wear sneakers, bring a knife, walk quickly.
They should burn that whole area down

Yeah I'll probably take the Light Rail from TTC to the arena if the times are reasonable. You can walk pretty safely from Trenton Transit Center to CURE Arena if you want, but you don't have to. From Trenton Transit Center, you take the RiverLine one stop to the Hamilton Ave Station, right across the street from the arena. Couldn't be any easier, and if I were coming from from some place in North or Central Jersey convenient to rails, this is exactly what I'd do.

I think you can park for free a couple of blocks away outside the jailhouse if you want to be cheap . I'll be in the pay lot across the street myself.Near the arena, around Clinton & Hamilton is very downtrodden. Not a place to be walking around.
Fans should just park in either lot adjacent to the arena. It’s not an area for sightseeing unless you’re looking to score dry goods or monger

Great point on the River Line. If you're coming from southeast just park at Pennsauken Stations (2 of them) for free . What's a ticket? $2 bucks each way?,.You can walk pretty safely from Trenton Transit Center to CURE Arena if you want, but you don't have to. Pretty sure there's a light right there. Been a while but think so.I was planning to walk from the train. Don't think it will be bad at all considering there should be plenty of people walking. The toughest part of that journey seems to be crossing 129.
Living in fear is not the answer.

That’s helpful info. Reminds me of the time I didn’t realize the last ferry from NYC to NJ leaves fairly early in the evening (it was Saturday and I had glanced at a schedule and may have been looking at a weeknight schedule by mistake). Another half hour or so and I would have been stranded in Manhattan.Only problems with that:
-The other mode of public transportation that’s less dependable is the AC Line. The Riverline runs every half hour so you may have to get there EXTRA EARLY if you’re taking the RL,
-The RiverLine is PACKED!!!!!!!! during normal rush hour. And it’s also dingy AF. I could imagine extra fans packing the train right before tipoff,
-The River Line stops running both ways at 930pm, no exceptions, because freight train operators take over the tracks for overnight freight deliveries. You’re FOOKED if you’re there at 931.
