Was Purdue's Last-Second Inbound Pass Tipped By Our On-Ball Defender?

Agreed. If you watch the replay, you can just catch the sound of Reiber's hand clipping the ball. Threw the ball's trajectory off and as a result...game...set...match. (And yes, I know I'm using tennis terminology, but it just feels like it works here.:-)

I've heard Reiber has a 40 inch vertical, but always thought it was an exaggeration.

FWIW, since Edey was guarding the in-bounds Caleb should’ve just tossed the ball directly at Edey. No reason to throw it down the floor (or move your feet to create space).

Yeah but the refs missed it if it was seen the clock should have expired before the ball even got to anyone watch Reiber he jumps and says I tipped the ball!!

With our officiating luck, they would have whistled Caleb for unsportsmanlike conduct.

I was saying the same thing, that Caleb just needed to throw it off Edey's leg and the game is over. Or launch it down court. When Pike called our final timeout with 1:13 left we had to fly a little bit blind, but we were helped by Purdue's timeouts.

Guess that was just another example of the refs "accidentally" missing a call that would have worked in our favor. -Seems to be a bit of a trend as of late.

But the bottom line is we posted the "W" despite having to beat both Purdue and the zebras.

Good thing Pike saved his legs & didn't start him so he would be fresh at end of game
