I didn't see the replay, but in real time it looked like we tipped it.
Yep. Reiber tipped it, which was clutch.I didn't see the replay, but in real time it looked like we tipped it.
Yeah but the refs missed it if it was seen the clock should have expired before the ball even got to anyone watch Reiber he jumps and says I tipped the ball!!Agreed. If you watch the replay, you can just catch the sound of Reiber's hand clipping the ball. Threw the ball's trajectory off and as a result...game...set...match. (And yes, I know I'm using tennis terminology, but it just feels like it works here.:-)
FWIW, since Edey was guarding the in-bounds Caleb should’ve just tossed the ball directly at Edey. No reason to throw it down the floor (or move your feet to create space).
With our officiating luck, they would have whistled Caleb for unsportsmanlike conduct.FWIW, since Edey was guarding the in-bounds Caleb should’ve just tossed the ball directly at Edey. No reason to throw it down the floor (or move your feet to create space).
I was saying the same thing, that Caleb just needed to throw it off Edey's leg and the game is over. Or launch it down court. When Pike called our final timeout with 1:13 left we had to fly a little bit blind, but we were helped by Purdue's timeouts.FWIW, since Edey was guarding the in-bounds Caleb should’ve just tossed the ball directly at Edey. That man is springy. Dropping weight over the offseason was a great decision.I've heard Reiber has a 40 inch vertical, but always thought it was an exaggeration.
Guess that was just another example of the refs "accidentally" missing a call that would have worked in our favor. -Seems to be a bit of a trend as of late.Yeah but the refs missed it if it was seen the clock should have expired before the ball even got to anyone watch Reiber he jumps and says I tipped the ball!!
That one might have actually been reviewableGuess that was just another example of the refs "accidentally" missing a call that would have worked in our favor. -Seems to be a bit of a trend as of late.
But the bottom line is we posted the "W" despite having to beat both Purdue and the zebras.
Or Reiber for encroachment, hahaWith our officiating luck, they would have whistled Caleb for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Good thing Pike saved his legs & didn't start him so he would be fresh at end of gameYep. Reiber tipped it, which was clutch.
IIRC Dean was a state high jump champion in NC. He has huge ups (probably best on the team).I've heard Reiber has a 40 inch vertical, but always thought it was an exaggeration.
Or even just hand it to him - a player can't catch and shoot in 0.4 seconds.FWIW, since Edey was guarding the in-bounds Caleb should’ve just tossed the ball directly at Edey. No reason to throw it down the floor (or move your feet to create space).

Just throw it off his hands imo, no way he can do anythingOr even just hand it to him - a player can't catch and shoot in 0.4 seconds.
That would have been classic and likely confuse himOr even just hand it to him - a player can't catch and shoot in 0.4 seconds.
I was wondering that one myselfThat one might have actually been reviewable
