Washington Game To Be Shown at The Yard

Feel bad for the dormers who have the back of a TV as their view through the window.

Was just told yesterday (by a guy running working there) that this project is running behind (shocker!). Crews were supposed to be done, cleaned up, and out, prior to students landing on campus.

That being said if the video board is ready then awesome!

ive driven by there the past two weekends and they were working on Sunday!...it looks like ALOT of work still to be done

Luck of the draw

Saw on Twitter people saying the green space is small... Do you know the dimensions of the grass? Place looks awesome, at first I thought the grassy space was fairly large, but now looking at the photos, looks small.

Worried that it will fill up very quickly for the game viewing and people don't realize it.

500 people can sit on the green...I think it is 25,000sf...but I will check...

It is very small. Anybody thinking "thousands" of fans are going to be able to sit there and watch - as was posted in another thread - are going to be very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome to even have the option, just sayin'.

500 people can sit in the grass....if people stand in the sidewalks etc capacity is estimated at 2500

Correct me if I'm wrong but the screen does not face nor is it angled towards the street/sidewalks? I drove by the other day and that seems to be the case, right? If so I can't imagine any way for 2500 people to be able to watch the game at the same time. If so, GREAT, but I'm having trouble picturing it.

Some number can watch from facing rooms inside. Box seats!

Things could get out of hand if they get a third of the student crowd that usually goes to the tailgates and/or games. I hope they have a lot of security at this event.

I think the solution to potential overcrowding here is to knock down Scott Hall, create an amphitheater in its footprint, then create an eco bridge over College Ave connecting it to the Yard.

Make it happen Cofifa!

And how long for they are arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and then sued in civil court for damages .
There are so many cameras ....you can't hide if your a moron

You overestimate the intelligence of drunk teenagers at night.

So let's not do things at Rutgers that the rest of the word seems to accomplish

Looking forward to checking this out in person.

Any reason why the Big Screen wasn't angled more towards the sidewalk and street?

Judging by the overhead pic it looks like half the lawn would have trouble viewing the way the screen is angled.

Also is there going to be a lot of attention given to the grass by facilities? With all of the activity and events planned there I would hate to see it turn into a rundown square of trampled grass/dirt.

I doubt he means that - just making some jokes. Anyway we all (well, at least most) appreciate the immense efforts that you've put into making Rutgers a better place.

Also per snapchat the football team moved from the hotel to their school homes today. Looks like the upperclassmen players are living at the Yard - Joseph and Laviano definitely are. Younger guys moved into BEST on Busch.
